Seriously NaiNai ask your doctor for some Xanax I just took some and I feel no fear. In fact Im gonna ask for some more because they did not give me enough.

Thanks very much slimjim your story has really helped me. I thought I was the only one acting irrationally about this but I am glad to see Im not. I have been stressing day and night its rediculous. It is bad Ive had to resort to taking Xanax daily just so I can get through the day. I tell you what though Xanax works cause when I take it I pretty much dont care about anything lol. I am just hoping to God its strong enough on the day of the surgery. I know that once I go to sleep its over from there. I will so relieved when I wake up in that hospital bed afterwards. As far as complications go I will cross that bridge when I get there. Thank You for sharing your story. I will continue to pray for me, you and all of us bought go into surgery.

You will be fine NaiNai I have been on preop since Jan 10 and honestly since I chickened out of my surgery last Tuesday I have not cared about the preop diet. If I can just make it through the surgery then I will focus on diet instructions. I have lost 29 pounds when they never told me to lose any so at this point I dont really care. My anxiety over my upcoming surgery has taken over my life sadly. I am having to take Xanax everyday because of it.

I wish I could help but I dont drink unflavored. And to be frank Im getting sick of protein drinks all together. Ive been drinking them since Jan. 10.

Thank you for replying BigFatLoser I am glad I am not the only one that had an anxiety attack the morning of. I was fine the day before. At this point im more afraid of chickening out than I am of the surgery lol. I am praying so hard that the medicine works. I honestly cant barely even think of anything else its rediculous. I just wanna get it over with already.

Thanks everybody this time I am excited, I know I will have no problem because Xanax does work. I havent even really told anyone except for you guys. I want to surprise them! Its gonna be on April 1st lol so Im gonna play a trick on facebook lol I tried Xanax yesterday and I felt no fear! Thanks for your support!

I was scheduled to have my surgery on March 19 but unfortunately had to cancel due to a panic attack on the way to the hospital. I was given 15 tablets of Xanax to take from now until my new surgery date on April 1. Did anyone else have to be put on Xanax and did it help? Did it calm you down enough to be able to have it? I do not wanna chicken out again. I want the pills to work so I can get through this. I have just never had a major surgery before. I am so scared of chickening out again.

I am also on Xanax due to being extremely nervous. I hope to God it works!

Yes they can I just got some zanax from my doc because Im crazy nervous too. Thank God. I had a panic attack on the way to the hospital and therefore had to cancel. I am now rescheduled and Im praying to God that it will work so I can get through this. I really wanna get the surgery Im just a nervous wreck.

Guys I had a panic attack on the way to the hospital and therefore had to cancel but I am rescheduled for April 1. They have now given me meds for the panic attacks so I should be fine. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I am trying it today and so far its working.
