Recommended Posts

I recently just started making myself vomit it was something I use to do before surgery n I stopped over a year now. I can't understand y I'm doing this again I have an idea that maybe it's cause my stomach feels so full all the time. Has anyone experience this or do I need to speak to my surgeon?? PLEASE SEND ME YOUR ANSWERS

Don't over stuff your self to the point that you are so full you want to vomit. vomiting is damaging to your teeth and esophagus. It can cause esophageal cancer if vomiting is done for a long period of time. you may want to speak to a therapist/psychologist to help with this eating disorder. My father did this and probably still does because he didn't want to gain weight but wanted to eat bad food.Prior to surgery I became desperate and I almost started to do it but didnt like the feeling. Keep making healthy food choices and Good luck.

You say you are feeling full all the time... Are you eating over the recommend amounts? Or is it happening no matter how little you eat?

I think I'm eating to fast but I've noticed I haven't been having any BM in the last 4 days could that be it?

I would highly recommend making an appointment with a psychologist as soon as possible.

Are you making yourself throw up from eating or another way? If so, please talk to someone about it, you could really hurt yourself please..

Eating to fast will definitely put you in pain from being overly full! This is something I've had problems with since surgery also.. It's very important to measure the proper amount and for us and sit down at the table and "think" about the pace and the "process" of our eating.

Forcing yourself to throw up afterwards is an altogether different issue I think stemming from past behaviors. It's something that you should definitely talk to someone about to try and work through the thought process behind it.

Oh as for the bm yes that could be contributing to the uncomfortable feeling.. I have to take stool softeners sometimes for that issue.

If I eat to fast or if something does go down right I have to vomit and I don't care for that so I suggest eating slower and you said you haven't had a bm in a few days that can cause other problems. I take stool softners daily because I was having issue so try that

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
