Iim September 9th also!!! I'm super happy!!

Lucky pants we have the same date. September 9th!!!! I'm so excited!!

So excited to finally have my date after almost 6 months of waiting for one!! September 9th will be here before I know it. I have been planing already I have a long to do list before the 9th. Appointments for myself, prepping with my kiddies, getting work stuff cleared away, prepping meals for the family during my down time. But I'm happy to do it all. I am so exicited and blessed to have this opportunity to change my life!! Good luck to everyone

Just keep trying if this is what you really want to do. I was told I would have to wait almost a year after approval from my insurance company for an date!! I got fed up and I just got my date...(after 6 months of waiting) they were giving me the run around!

I'm not sure if he is over weight too, but if he is maybe encourage him to make a good choice to follow in your footsteps to better health. Maybe that will help with his fears. But on another note, you have to lay some ground rules, or he will continue to bring you down. If your are the independant women that you state, you should have no problem doing this. Ignoring his comments will only get you so far trust me, been there done that. In my current relationship, he was not very supporting of my choice for the sleeve, but what I said was I doing this with or without your support. I want to be around for my children and him, but if this chance is too much for you then there is the door, because I am gonna make it with or without you! I really meant what I said, and now I have his support. I also told him what I expect from him once I am post op. You need to have your head your head in the game of losing, and you can't completely do this with someone close to your heart steeping on you out the gate! I have not had my sleeve done, but I see everyone say each day it will get a little bit better!! But also drink your water that may help you feel a little better also!

It will happen!! That's what I keep telling myself. I have been waiting for a date since Feb. 8th. My surgeon is backed up, I have no other choice but to wait!! It's hard... trust me I'm there with you. Stay strong!

just wondering if you have Kaiser, what made you have the procedure in Mexico. I'm just wondering as I have Kaiser also and have been considering Mexcio because of my waiting time since approval. I was approved in Feb. and still have not got my date. Was this your issue also, just wondering?

Welcome to the board. I have a almost little to no encouragement also, but I will not let that stop me. I want to be at a healthier weight for me and my children. I want to be a better example of healthly living for my children. As far as my other half, I'm hoping he will follow my lead. I have already told him, I'm not cooking the same crap, so he better get use to the change now or he will be starving after surgery. I'm not putting myself in the space to fail at the sleeve. I have stopped cooking a lot of thing while I am waiting for my surgery date. He complained at first but know, he goes with the flow. I also tell him if you want it that bad cook it yourself or go out and get it. Most of the time he doesn't, food is his comfort (as it is mine) when things don't go his way. So I say lets talk about it instead of eating about it. I also get more support from my friends than family. Good luck and keep us posted.
