  1. I would have to agree with you... this is your year!! Congrats!!
  2. Wow that was a lot of stuff he asked. I would have been pissed too! I had to do a 15 min eval over the phone, with yes or no questions. I felt like some were not that simple... but I went with the flow! But good luck, fingers are crossed that you don't have to meet with him again. The math and history questions would have set me off... how are they related???!!?!?!?
  3. I am looking forward to a new begining!! I want it all.... I want to have better health, I want the smaller clothes, I want a higher fitness level, I want to be more actrive with my kids, I want my knee to stop hurting, I want to hopefully increase my life span! I want it all!! I will take any of those that I can get. Good Luck to everyone and their dreams also

  11. They are sold at costco also. Sam's sells a smaller pack under 20.00. Costco has I think form shakes for 25.00
  12. are you maintaining your weight loss, still losing, or have gained it all back? Me personally I am yo- yoing very badly... I have a good week then a bad week. I need to break this cycle, but I haven't gave up yet! So that's a start
  13. I cant wait to have this issue!! But they are right out with the old you and in with the smaller and new improved you. Good Luck to you.
  14. I was able to get on a back up list for when people cancel or reschedule. I have completed everything so I am just waiting for a date which the wait is between 5 - 6 months after approval. But if this speeds it up, I am all for it!! I can be there in 1hour. LOL I don't even need a change of clothes!! Just kidding... but so serious!! They said it is at least a week notice!! I told her all I need in 20 mins to get someone to pick the kids up and to let my job know. LOL Good Luck to everyone still waiting... its so hard!!
  15. Welcome and you will find a lot of good information and support here. Good luck on your journey!!!
  16. Welcome and good luck on your journey!!!
  17. Yes they weigh you at the first class and give you your weight that's why I don't really remember that was almost 10 months ago for me!!
  18. Your primary care doc. Knows all the ins and outs trust me!! Now that I'm thinking it my not have been 10%. I was around 357 and I think I had to loose around 12 lbs. my paperwork is at work. I will check it tomorrow and update the post or send u a PM. I also don't think the wait for surgery date is that long in Virginia. I'm sticking with kaiser because of the low out of pocket expense. Just small co pays and no bills!!!!
  19. The requirement is 6 months total between classes and ur nutrition weigh ins. Until u met that 10% your paper work doesn't move for approval. It took me 8 months to lose my 10% too many parties and holidays so close together!!!! But the next day after the board met for approvals I got a call to meet the surgeon I went in later that week we went over something's he gave me Rex for everything I would need post op and now I'm just waiting for the call for a date
  20. I have to use holy cross hospital and they are running 5-6 months after approval for the procedure. The surgeon is Dr. Brian Cantor. There is/ was and position to use other surgeon and pay the higher copay which s what I wanted to do because of the wait time. It depends on ur coverage options and unfortunately that was not allowed on my coverage. That I pay 185.00 every 2 weeks!! So I'm just waiting but check with member services to see if u have that option.
  21. U still have to loose the 10%. I will check my paperwork for the BMI # question. Do you have other co-morbilities. I know in my class there where people with co-morbilities that I'm pretty sure there BMI was not over 40.
  22. I'm with kaiser also, but a BMI over 40 was just fine. I know some requirements are different I live in Maryland. We have to do 6 months of nutrition appointments and classes get approval ( which I got in February 2013 ) and it takes another 6 plus months before surgery. I'm into my 2 nd month of waiting for a surgery date. I have no co-morbilities.
