  1. Congratulations. Hope you have a quick and smooth recovery. Keep smiling
  2. I'd try to focus on the protein over the grits and crackers. Just make sure to eat slow when trying new foods...I didn't have any problems. If you find something bothers your tummy, stop and try again in a few days. Try to find your tell that you're full; I get a pain and then start burping. When I get that...I stop eating. You should only be able to hold 1/4c. if even that right now. Good luck, and enjoy.
  3. Try rolling your shoulders, back and forth, and bringing your shoulder blades together....that's what helped me when I got pain in the upper back/shoulder area. Other than that...walk, heating pad and gas-x it up. Good luck on your recovery.
  4. Getting all my liquids in; still only at 32-40 oz. a day. I have no problem eating chicken, put it in the crock pot with some soup or chicken broth & taco seasoning if you like spicy; it'll be very tender and the tummy may like it better. Good luck, and great job on the loss.
  5. Fluffy scrambled eggs, soups (potato was my fav), cream of wheat, and try the ricotta bake (search it)
  6. 3-5 lbs. is average according to my nut after 1-month out
  7. You can have popcorn and steak again; at about 6 months post-op. You just won't want to eat the entire bucket or steak...a few bites and you'll be satisfied. No reason to say goodbye....it's just "see ya later"
  8. Water weight, it'll come back off.
  9. Zumba is fun, and it works all your large muscles. Gym would be good to though, especially if they have a pool. Swimming is the best whole body workout and it doesn't hurt your joints.
  10. Just do a few laps around your house a few times a day. And roll your ankles and "air walk", it still works the muscles and gets your blood flowing. Once the weight starts coming off you'll feel much better and can increase it. Good luck with your surgery, hope you have a quick and smooth recovery.

How exciting is that? WTG TD, keep it up and you'll be at goal in no time.
  12. You look great, almost to goal to. Keep up the good work.
  13. Glad to hear. Was yours done with the robot? Mine was, and I had no pain and haven't any problems since my surgery....I really think it's because of the robot, Hope everything continues to go smooth for you. .
  14. Congrats and enjoy the ride. Hope you have a quick and smooth recovery.
  15. Don't waist your money; all it does is make you lose water weight and it compresses your skin to make it look like you lost inches....next day you'll be right back to where you were. Picture a rubber band around your wrist, how it leaves the dent for awhile....same concept. Exercise, dry rubs and lotion.
  16. I know exactly how you feel, but once you have the surgery food won't matter much to you....at least not for awhile. I'm 3 weeks out and haven't been hungry yet. I have to set a timer to remind myself to eat every 3 hrs. or i'd go all day without eating. Now I am able to eat the same things I used to, but I can only eat 1/4c. so I make better choices now in order to meet my nutrition requirements. I used to be a huge ice cream fan, ate it every night....but now, don't even think about it. Don't think of any sweets really. I had one piece of chocolate and I was good, didn't crave more, didn't really do anything for me. I had the surgery due to diabetes, which was gone the day after surgery.....and now I'm down 21 lbs. last time I checked and I no longer feel like I'm a stroke or heart attach waiting to happen. It truly is the best thing I've done for myself. You will feel the same, I'm sure. Just remember, is food or your family and life more important??? Good luck on your journey, everyone here can and will support you when you need it.
  17. I found those to and the carbs were too high for me, according to my Dr.
  18. My nutritionist gave it to me at my follow up when I was allowed to eat normal food. I don't use it though, I just order a side, or eat off my husbands plate. Or I order the smallest meal they have and take home leftovers. My nut said if you take leftovers home throw them away by the 3rd day....don't want to get food poisoning.
  19. That's awesome....virtual tummy bump (ever watch Will & Grace?) lol
  20. Congratulations and good luck, hope you have a smooth recovery.
  21. I am only 3 weeks out but was given 700 calories/day, less than 40g of carbs; and 50-70+ protein, 48-64 oz of liquids, and was told not to worry about sugars, fats, or anything else....and I specifically asked for myfitnesspal so I could make sure I stay where I'm supposed to. But every Dr./Nut is different. I've lost a lb. a day so far
  22. chicken broth and sugar free popcicles
  23. Don't do it!! Step away from the ciggies and go punch a pillow or do some kickboxing to get out your feelings. Stay strong girl!!
  24. Congratulations...you look fabulous. Bet you feel fabulous to. Thanks for sharing...very inspirational.
  25. Congratulations and go you for sticking to your guns and going through with it. Let me ask you something....are they more supportive now that you've lost 100 lbs or are they still putting you down for your decision? Either way, you must always follow your heart....your soul will thank you for it.
