  1. My final straw was planning an Alaskan trip a year and half ago, and all the excursions were what I could do!!! Signed up for a seminar for after the trip and then asked my husband to go with me!!!
  2. My daughter took me to VS and had them fit me. Never could wear any of them!!!
  3. Will be waiting to see if it worked. Mine got thinner, but only my hair dresser and I really noticed. I take Biotin twice a day and see new hair growth. Also, I have mine longer now to go with my new slimmer look and since I just got hearing aides. LOL!
  4. If I walk around and can burp, sometimes I'm ok! But I'm 10 months out and just got sick on beef stew. I actually feel better now and ate a little more to replace it. Hopefully, it will pass. My nose will start to run and I can hardly talk, and then I know that it is not staying down.

  6. I was sleeved in November, 2012 and have lost 85 pounds. 10 more to goal. So happy I did this. Mine was in Muskegon with Dr. Gluck!! Awesome group and surgeon.
  7. You can do this! It is scary but well worth it. Follow the directions of the doctor and you nutricianist. I have mine in November and feel awesome.
  8. Saw the doctor the end of August. Am trying off the bipap, and will be tested to see if I'm getting enough oxygen. Waiting for my turn to use that machine at home and then the doctor will decide. I've lost 85 pounds, but he said weight alone is not the only factor. I have been on it since 2003 so I am really hoping!!!
  9. I'm 66 and 10 months out!!! Have had lots if plateaus but have lost 85 pounds. Had knee replacement ????2 years ago and finally off many meds including Celebrex!!

  11. I'm 66 and am 10 months out. Started at 225.5 and have lost 85 pounds do far. Ten pounds to go to be normal BMI. Of lots of meds! I was told I was heavy when I weighed 115 so have had a bad body image!! Proud of what I have accomplished. It is not easy!!! But worth it!!

  14. I still don't count calories at 9 1/2 months out. I count grams of protein, watch the amount of sugar in servings, as well as fats. Eat about 80-90 grams of protein a day. Have lost 84 pounds and I'm 66. Need to exercise more though!
  15. I'm 66 and had my sleeve at 65 last Nov. 5 ft 2 inches and weighed 225.5 at the highest. Now at 141.8. Lowest since before I was pregnant with my first daughter. She is now 41! For me it us worth it but I did it to improve my health!!

  17. My daughter took me to Bictoria Secrets to get fitted! Said I was hanging too low???? got a sports bra too on line from there as well as underwear. I was always too big for them!!?
  18. I was 65 when I had it in nov 12. Have lost 83 pounds and 12 more to go. I was self pay! Glad I didn't wait because we weren't sure even then what Medicare would do!!
  19. Surgery 11/12/12 Highest weight 225.5 Today's weight 141.8 Goal weight 130. Finally broke a stall!!
  20. 9 mo out. Having consultation next Thurs so will see what the doctor says!
  21. Planning an Alaskan trip last year and realizing that everything hinged on what I could and couldn't do. Also, seeing my daughter who had the sleeve before me and the progress she had made and feeling good about herself!!
