  1. I am almost 66, had my sleeve done November 12th. Still on full proteins. Also had my gall bladder out, which actually had no bile in it, and had a hiatal hernia repaired. I'm self pay because Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Mi won't pay for the sleeve. Probably would have paid for the gastic bypass, but I didn't want that. My daughter had the sleeve a year ago May and has lost over 100 pounds. I said I would never do it, but am off many of my meds already and trying to walk more. Looking forward to many years of traveling and enjoying life. I was out of breath on an Alaskan cruise and had thrown my back out twice over the summer. Already had knee replacement over a year ago, so am ready to go!!!
  2. 5 feet 2 and starting weight was 225.5. Sleeved Nov. 12th. And I'm 65!!
  3. My doctor says 3-6 months out I may be able to take Celebrex again....but hoping I won't need it as I lose more weight.
  4. Looking forward to some real food!! Tomorrow I am 2 weeks out and still on full protein liquids for at least one more week. Trying to figure out how to get all the protein and liquids in...Seem to do one or the other. On far fewer meds at this point so that is encouraging!!!
  5. I had my sleeve on the 12th and can only have full protein liquids for 3 weeks. Eating protein soups, add protein cocoa to my decaf coffee, and tried fat free, sugar free puddings with protein added to it. Have had some problem with the thickness of the pudding, or I ate it too fast. Otherwise, one week out and doing well!!
  6. I had surgery Monday and drain out today. I had nausea in the hospital but only once since I've been at my daughter's. Today I'm sipping from bottle and not using medicine cups. Got on computer and forgot to sip. Need to make that a habit. Good luck!! Look at your progress each day!!
  7. I am day 5 of sleeve. Also had gall bladder removed. Filled with stones, some in duct, and no bile. Hiatal hernia repaired also. Still on pain meds and trying to get the liquids and protein in.
  8. Thanks for the help!! I got some samples from my daughter, and will try some more. One week from today is the big day.
  9. low fat soups, adding skim milk, but confused on the amount of protein. I fix the whole can and then divide it into servings. Should I be doing it that way.
