  1. I've never had a problem ordering from the child's menu or the senior for that matter. If there ever is a question I just tell them, I'm too young to have ID or I'm too old to drive so I don't have a license anymore
  2. I'd be happy at a pound a week.. Hell, at the rate I'm going I'd be happy at pound a month!
  3. Kind of like, tomorrow never comes.. Lol, sucks to be tomorrow
  4. Unfortunately, I did the eat everything and anything in sight thing. I did it for a little over two weeks and then I started hating food and stopped. That day I started my 3 day pre-op diet two weeks early. After that I controlled things. Seriously, when I was overheating I made myself mentally sick with what I was doing. I hated myself. Oh, and I gained an extra 10 pounds.. Ugh!
  5. My name is Kristine and I am a slow loser *hits head on keyboard in frustration*
  6. If you have the extra cash I'd do it for sure. Not just because of size, but because I'm not a touchy freely person and my seat mate is the last person I want to touch. I had one surgery I was uncomfortable with shoulder gas pain and would have killed not to be with a seat mate.
  7. Wait.. Not everyone has the same 'versary.
  8. I'm in! And I know some cool condos with great prices in La Conchas, MX. Not a tourist attraction, but I'm not a touristy type of person
  9. It depends on the condition of your stomach and if its been compromised due to the band. A lot of banders go directly from band to sleeve But some have to wait months or some times over a year before the stomach is healed and able to be sleeved
  10. I flew Southwest and also got there the night before and my cordinator arranged for me to just stay the night at hospital at no charge. I was first in the OR.. Perfect. As for lay overs I specifically booked lay over flights so that I had to walk. I wasn't comfortable with sitting for long periods of time on a flight. The extra walking works out well with walking off the gas and getting myself back to normal too. Southwest is best in prices for sure, plus their attendants are awesome
  11. LOL.. I'm not sure if you should take any "normalcy" advice from Laura ... Or me, so I will pass on suggesting if you will be normal. I have never been normal in my life... At least that's what my family tells me. But I think every one is probably right, over time you will be a better you
  12. I've flown after having several surgeries in MX and have never had a problem. Once I had a tough time with the gas pain in shoulder and was uncomfortable because of that, but 100s do this every day. Check with your dr though, he will know for sure if you're suitable to fly
  13. I did the same. The hotel should provide you with your broth and icecicle. My Cordinator set me up with a nice basket of drinks and things to go home with and after I left MX I shopped all day in San Diego and dined on any broth that came in the available soup on the menus.
  14. I drink and really like the EAS high protein and carb control shakes. Strawberry and choc Carmel are my fav. You can get them at Walmart and most drug stores or grocery stores. Make sure you don't do the muscle building becaus wit has too many carbs. These are pre made in small drink boxes. During the week I don't have a convenient place to make shakes so I go the easy route
  15. I am lazy, lol.. My shakes are premixed and in Lil cartons all ready for me. No powder for me.. Yuck!
  16. Proudgrammy, I love the EAS strawberry protein carb control.
  17. This is what I was told http://www.hairlosstalk.com/hair-loss-news/article225.php I don't know if anything helps.. I believe it's just the way our body reacts to all aspect of any surgery/trama/stress/physical change etc
  18. Not all of us are in the eat anything phase. Plus, not much appeals to me now so even when I get to the anything phase it will have to be slowly worked in. Deecc26.. I use my Protein shakes for coffee creamer
  19. This is hilarious and SO TRUE! My son can eat anything and everything, and he does... Including my protein shakes?!? I saw this one day and threaten to buy it http://fridgelocker.com/
  20. A lot of revisions are done on low BMIs. I wish I would have know about the sleeve before I had too many problems with the band. Don't wait if you're having issues.
  21. I understand how you feel. Once I made my decision I couldn't leave fast enough. I was so depressed and self loathing. I hated myself for not having any clothes left to wear. I was borrowing clothes because I refused to go buy anything bigger than I had available. I still hide in clothes that are too big for me, but I feel so amazing because I am eating so healthy now and know I'm well on my way to a better me Good luck and keep your chin up. It's going to get a lot better from here on out
  22. Wait a minute.. Double post! BTW.. Happy birthday!
  23. Nice! ..and a tidy room to boot, impressive
  24. Thank you and Happy Valentine's Day... to you and everyone else, too!
