  1. Can they deny you entry? Absolutely, do not think for a minute that the USBPC does not have the authority to deny you entry! Will they deny you entry? Canada told me if I went in I would not be coming back. I didn't take my chances in Canada let alone in MX. Besides, if you're in the medical access lane without proper documentation I would think that defeats the purpose .. Wouldn't you be sent inside to be thoroughly processed? And what if you're denied for hours or days.. That would really suck. Now that I think about it.. Would that delay the whole van and other patients? Would you miss your flight? Oh my.. Lots to consider
  2. And.. Not sure about anyone else, but under no circumstances would I go into MX without a for sure doc to get back in.
  3. pass card is the same as enhanced license? That is just the same as a passport/ license combined Yes, they certainly will refuse entry! They are very serious.
  4. *or enhanced license
  5. Is this what you used or someone said you could? In Canada and MX I was told I could enter, but I could not come back without a passport
  6. SD was 12/14 and since the second week nothing. It happens!
  7. You're dr is not very professional. My PCP hated the fact that I went for the band (many times), but not once did he say I shouldn't do it. Only time he said anything was after the final time it was removed. After, He stated his opinion, but added that he is a health provider and is there to provide care for me in whatever ways I need it. Before I had lapband WLS , I never asked for his opinion therefore he didn't give it. Unless it's for insurance reasons you don't need your OB/GYN personal approval so .. Don't sweat it. She's never had a problem so she may never care to understand.
  8. Lol.. Like that link! But they forgot to put shorts, socks and sandles for summer... Or at least flip flops. It's so true that we change our clothes according to the calendar and not the weather
  9. Hopefully everyone had a drain :-o I was sliced, gutted and glued with a little tape ;-D
  10. Most places and professions can claim/use a multitude of titles to impress society, but it doesn't make them any better than the next person/place that doesn't use the title. I have a PhD, but have never EVER and never will claim the Dr title. It doesn't make me more qualified or others less qualified. It's just a title.
  11. This thread doesn't really have much to do with the OP anymore. I'm fine with reading around the comments and chatting about other things :-)
  12. I've had all my surgeries in MX.. Well except the urgent ones to remove the band. And isn't "not raining in Seattle" an oxymoron? J/K I love WA and it would be great to get people and families together at Woodland Park
  13. It says 0mg caffeine/ serving. So I'm guessing it contains less than a gram so they can claim 0. Pretty sure it doesn't have enough for you to tell though. I use it in my smart water because I'm a big baby about drinking plain water even while at gym. I notice you're from LS.. I'm from Kenmore. I hope we all can maybe have a PNW picnic or something one day. Or support meetings once in awhile.
  14. Smart Water is also electrolyte enhanced. It's not a bad idea to make this part of your daily intake to keep things balanced during a low calorie consumption. There are also Mio electrolyte enhanced drops available. Personally, I gag on pedialyte.. Reminds me of my college hangover days when I'm trying to get through the next day of classes
  15. Thanks Step.. I didn't know this. I'm still not totally sold on the title thing. This title isn't awarded with out buying into it. It costs the awardee money to get this tile. Yes, they have to meet certain criteria, but I imagine there are a vast amount of qualified hospitals and surgeons that feel buying an award isn't necessary to be part of the best.
  16. Split it in half? But either way I ain't going the nasty route
  17. LOL ... Every time I see ths post title I have to laugh! Not at you, but at myself. I only had a 3 day pre-op diet, but I swear I was going to DIE! I don't know how y'all do the long term diet. UGH!
  18. Oops... Lol, not sure why the double response. Sorry :-)
  19. Yes, I had to have mine to get into MX and back to the states. Same with Canada too. Yes, I had to use mine to get into MX and back to the states. Same with Canada too.
  20. Good luck, Sade.. Keep us posted! And try to take time to have fun down there ..hopefully in the sun.
  21. Can't a clinic/ hospital name themselves anything they want? Wonder if these claims have much credence. Now, I'm curious what's behind titles.
  22. Yuk... A drain for six days? I think I prefer a few leak tests instead. I guess whatever works for people .. Well, works! :-)
  23. My loss has really sucked. Only 23 lbs in almost 2 months, but I refuse to let it get me down. Of course, I'd be lying if I didn't say, I wish it would go faster.., but shoot, I feel great! Definitely, way better than before surgery. I was so depressed and spent every waking moment thinking about how missable I was because of my weight. I don't miss food and I'm rarely hungry so it can only get better... I hope :-)
  24. I wish I could have done it in one surgery too. I had to wait 18 months and go through countless endoscopic procedures before I could be cleared for sleeve. Hence my 75lb weight gain!?!! As long as I was getting sleeved I didn't care what size my stomach was going to be.. And I'm ecstatic with what ever it is..
  25. The common infection that shows months after surgery is mycobacterial infection and you have to do specific culture for that. Not knowing what kind of sutures you had its hard to say much more. Be sure to keep them clean and covered until you can call your dr and ask.
