  1. Bothell/Kenmore area. Surgery 12/14 down 20lbs in major stall, but not bothered... I have a lifetime to lose and I'm taking this time to reprogram my eating into healthy new ones.
  2. My coordinator is also the coordinator for a cosmetic surgeon, but I wasn't financially prepared for that so she took us to get Botox... Love it!
  3. Newgrandmother.. You're lookin awesome! I had to do a double take on your pic because I thought it was two different people! Hang in there and stay positive. My situation is a bit differnt because all my weight gain was in the last year since my band removal so I still have all my old jeans and just shop in my closet. If it wasn't for that I swear I'd go insane if I had to physically try to find pants that fit. I HATE shopping for pants! Clothing sizes makes no sense to me
  4. Outlaw.. Check out my "my story" in my profile and it will help explain my name and answer a few questions you may have. I could type until I'm 100 and still never find a good reason to get the lapband
  5. WTH? Thanks to great technology and auto-correct!?! "Peeps cans"? I can't even remember what it was supposed to be, but I'm assuming something along the line of "fill maintenance are a very expensive hassle" Peep cans?!?? Hahahahahaha :-D
  6. Good luck and prayers and speedy recovery to you!
  7. If the band does work out safely for you the peep cans are a very expensive hassle. In our area it's $300+ each time and the dr says to really make your band work to it's potential you need to do maintenance every few months.. WTH.?! That's crazy! Have you gone n the lapband forum and check out the complication rate compared to sleeve? I think you'd be astonished... And fearful.
  8. I agree that 8 ozs is double the amt your new tummy can hold. Perhaps this is why you're getting the pain? Always ask the dr though :-)
  9. It is normal, but needs to be addressed. Just like alcoholics/drug addicts don't go for help because they know they will miss it. It rewards them just like food does for us. You're taking the first step by admitting you have a true addiction .. Now you need to get your head in the right place. The sleeve helps, but not without the right mind set. Therapy is most likely the best option if you believe it's going to continue to be an issue. Pre- op I panicked and ate everything in sight to where I was so disgusted in myself it made me face the fact that I was no better than the town coke head .. It's like I hit rock bottom... I was seriously pathetic and I cringe just thinking about. Good luck.. We're all here for you!
  10. Yep... Definitely read the band to sleeve revision posts. Look at my name.. Enough said probably
  11. I get the bolthouse brand from Whole Foods. 30 grams and a few different favors... Including mango
  12. I had glue without issues. No itching or scabs, just a fine line at each site. Too bad the effort was wasted on a no-return-10lb- baby- x's 3-belly of stretch marks ... Think that's right lol
  13. Don't forget your surgery is tax deductible
  14. You look awesome! Hopefully your family will come to accept the new you some day.
  15. LOL.. @ butterbean :-P I guess if losing slow means very little hair loss I'm all for it!
  16. Do you mean prior to your surgery or after? The hotel is normally part of the package. Dr Ponce arranged everything for my daughter and me. If you're staying longer in San Deigo, I don't know... We had so much fun in TJ we paid extra days in the arranged hotel.
  17. Nooooo... Not at all. I eat the older toddler trays and pouches. Dishes like ravioli, chicken stew, blk bean soup, and many more. Add you own spices and/or ingredients and it's a perfect size and textured tasting meal.
  18. Ice cream is my nemesis and if I could I'd live on ice cream alone. I'm not even going to try it again and hope I can stick with frozen yogurt to satisfy my want. I go to frozen yogurt places and get a sample cup and make them weigh that instead of the bowl they provide... regardless of the looks I get they do it
  19. The nasty "s" word has hit me, but I'm staying optimistic yep yep yep!
  20. I confess.. Honestly ~ I'm afraid to eat in fear of one day puking like with the band and having complications ~ Sometimes the forum pisses me off, but understand ...to each his own ~ I am never happy with my weight regardless of what it is ~ I walk/treadmill, but seriously doubt I'll ever do more ~ I eat baby/toddler meals and love them ~ I set wrong goals ie: when I can drink wine or a sweet potato etc. ~ I never got rid of my clothes after I out grew them and pathetically borrowed clothes instead of buying bigger. Been wearing ( hiding in) jeans and sweatshirts for a year ~ wish my daughter would get sleeved, but will never tell her in fear if something went wrong I'd never be able to live with myself.
  21. Yep.. Same here, depends on your area, I guess. And price is right! We can have personal trainer or classes. Love it! And the " leave ego at door" is awesome. Everyone is welcome and no show offs ... Although enough " whoa... That's what I want to look like" clients that help motivate me. I pretend they used to look like me
  22. Personally, I wouldn't drink the protein shakes pre- op because you are stuck doing that post-op and I'm soooooooo sick of them. They taste yummy, but seriously they are making me gag!
  23. OMG... You're soooo right! I can't believe I misquoted the price.. My apologies! As soon as I thought about it I realized my mistake, but was stuck in a pile of work and couldn't get back. Thank you for saying something :-)
  24. Highly recommend Dr Ponce De Leon in TJ, MX his price is $4500 ($5000 revision) There are a lot of excellent drs in TJ. PM if you want more info. Good luck on your search
  25. Oops ... Sorry misread your profile. Looks like we're pretty much the same on everything. Hopefully you don't get the 3week stall like me. UGH!
