Hi shawn9x9,

I got my sleeve December 31st, so very new to this journey. I am doing ok, today was my first day back to work and by about 2:00pm I was wiped out but I had no problems keeping with my program. If you have questions let me know.

Good Luck tomorrow and I will say a special prayer for you.

Hi!

I live in Redmond and was sleeved on the 27th. Down almost 20 pounds. Hang in there!

I'm in Seattle, but I'm having surgery in MX in 10 days.

Shawn, Dr. Hunter saved my life after my first surgery by another doctor (not a VM doc) went south. You are in EXCELLENT hands. He's an amazing surgeon and a wonderful doctor. The hospital is the best I've been in (and with a sick child I've been in dozens). They saved my life, literally. You can't get better care.

Who is everyone's surgeon? Any idea what size bougie they used??

I'm having my surgery done next week by Dr. Elias Ortiz in MX. He uses a size 32 bougie.

Hi I'm new. I don't have an op date yet but I've got all my required pre-op appts scheduled. I don't need any specific nutritional plans prior so I'm guestimating around the end of Feb or into March if all goes well. I will be going the through Franciscan in Fed Way as its s BCE and the docs are "in network." I'm excited and nervous but very sure about this. I'm sure I'll need plenty of virtual and real life support as I go along. I hope to connect with at least a few of you along the way.

Congratulations Shawn9x9 today is the beginning of a new start. A new start to make healthy choices and learn how to live without food being the priority. I hope that makes sense just wanting to inspire because while I love to eat, I want to love something else a little more...living.

And Onelessfatgirl... congrats to making the decision. The Franciscan group will take great care of you and they have being doing bariatric procedures for more than 10 years, you ae in good hands. Just know once you get to this side of the surgery the work really begins and I know you will do fine.

Thankyou special how long since you have been sleeved. Today I was tired all day realized I had low blood sugar and I don't have to take insulin .... Wow I lost 25 lbs in 5 days having tough time eating even my liquid meals and water cause I am sooo ful but loving it. Slept without snoring a lot soon won't have to use CPAP machine. Dr Jefferey Hunter did an excellent Job he is very good and staff @ Virginia mason very helpful.yesterday went to Burger King with wife and kid ... Fed my kid but didn't felt sad or guilty or even remotely hungry or tempted....like NAS said "life is Good"

Had my sleeve last week on 1/8. No complications and I feel great. The only discomfort I had was from the CO2 making my left shoulder ache but that has mostly subsided now since I've been out walking a bunch. I could have gone back to work today but I'm going to relax and enjoy the next week off.
