Congratulations:-) So far for me this is an amazing journey. I am 5 days post-op and when I started my process in November 2012 I felt like my day would never arrive; and here I am recovering and I found this terrific website tonight and I am encouraging someone I do not know. I am still overwhelmed and adjusting but some encouragement I can share is that tonight my family ate McDonalds because I am still recovering and we bought groceries but I was too tuckered to provide instruction. The smell did not phase me and ususally french fries hot and fresh are a weakness but nothing. That was a small victory for me and it let me know this was the right choice. It was thier last cheat night we shopped for recipes out of my Weight Watchers recipe book so the entire family is up for change and it feels great. Good luck for your upcoming surgery and drop me a line if you just want to talk through some of the wait time...been there done that:-)
