Don't be jealous because I know I will hit a road bump in the future, but so far it has been easy
Whoa.. You sound EXACTLY like my experience...even the IV blow out! My arm took over a month to turn back to normal. I ended up with phebitis ( because I always seem to have vein issues) I went to my PCP and he did the antibiotic and topical anti- inflammatory gel route. Almost two months out and it still has tender spots, but I'm fine.

Be honest....
Yep.. I I'd the food funeral thing and gained 10lbs. I was out of control and I was sooo depressed over what I was doing. Everything is great now. Even though I'm a slow loser I feel on top of the world because of my new eating habits. I feel healthier already.

alright tough guys - how long to recover?
I get in trouble when I say I was up and back to normal on day three.. And the only reason it took that long is because the dr requires 2 days in hospital. No pain or complications for me. BUT... Thats not everyone. Some don't get up and about or days, weeks or a month. Good luck!

Breaking thru
I've actually stopped counting weeks. I'll weigh myself Sat and hope for the best. Oh well, I have the rest of my life, but dang I'd like an ounce or two maybe, lol I probably gain through osmosis when watching the food network

sleeved in Mexico now I have no after care.
I'm a MX sleever and got sent home with a packet of care instructions including what stages at what times and detailed foods to eat at even a year out. Sample menues etc. Sorry to hear you didn't receive your f/u instructions. I'd do what the above people said or contact your MX surgeon. I have never heard of any of them not staying in contact for further care. Check it out

Stay At Home Mom's- How did you do it?
I'm a retired jr/high school teacher turned tutor/nanny. The downtime can be tough. Luckily, the beautiful family I work with has nothing in the house to eat, lol! Try to rid your house of the useless food, but if you can't put it out of sight in places you never use. You will need to begin training yourself for a new lifestyle and be diligent in doing so. Make sure you have a bottle of your favorite flavored water to put in your mouth a gazillion times a day. Hope you have help caring for kids for a few weeks and good luck on you journey

So frustrating for you and i totally understand not waiting. Get on with your healthy life and good luck.. You'll love MX and the wonderful professional drs and staff there

feeling faint
Are they doing anything for your deficiency? What are they suggesting? Low iron is not good and can very well be the problem. Whilevo was anemic, I became very very sick and would pass out. Don't fool around.. Ask your dr

Black tongue
My dad used to tell my daughter the reason their dog had a black tongue was due to fibbing My guess is it's from eating, drinking or some current/recent medication?
