  2. My daughters and I have great experience with Dr Rod. Not with he sleeve, but we were banded by him and as a dr and professional staff we by all means recommend them all. We had him in Acuna and Juarez so can't honestly say anything about Tijuana staff .. If different. I was sleeved by Dr Ponce De Leon of TJ and he works at the same place as Dr Rod does when he works Tijuana
  3. My "chew n spit" moments are the sudden realization of "WTH.. Why am I eating this?", and I so I don't. I never premeditate it so maybe it's a lesser charge of tummy slaughter as opposed to 1st degree
  4. You know.. If this forum had a time out corner I'd put you in it... Shame on you for saying what you said the way you said. *shakes head in disgust*
  5. Thank you for quoting.. I can't see anything that she posts
  6. Yep.. At first my husband couldn't understand why I wanted to do this, ( as in vanity) but I had to explain to him about all the different pain I was experiencing all due to my weight
  7. I'm 55 and I'm a low BMI'er also. Extremely slow loser, but sooooo happy with the sleeve, I'll take slow losing over yoyoin' eating and dieting my life away. Never hungry and sometimes I have to remind myself to eat... LOVE MY SLEEVE!
  8. Just losing 20 lbs my first couple weeks made a huge difference on my knees. As soon as I was nearing 190 and my knees starting hurting daily and I knew I had to do something. Glad I did. Things are good
  9. Umm.. As its always been noted all drs are different in post surgery diet, but lol.. I think acidity is one thing you're supposed to avoid and a lemon is pretty high in acid
  10. LOL.. I had to read your post three times before I followed I say, YOU GO GIRL! You are for fortunate to do this so young and be on the way to a healthy and thinner life this early. I wish I could have one this 25 years ago
  11. I would let them know that the dr is going to fix your tummy and you're going to have a bandaged boo boo that needs to be taken care of. That why they'll understand about being gentle around your surgery area. Word it age appropriately for each of them.
  12. Gosh, I missed the "low BMI bigger sleeve" part. Yikes! Who was your dr? There are 100's of us that went to MX with low to very low BMI and our sleeves are just like the higher ones. Never heard of a dr doing this and I'm sorry you found one
  13. I lost 20 lbs the first two weeks post-surgery and NOTHING until recently and that's because I got the flu. Some of us are in long a$$ stalls and maybe that's what your experiencing
  14. Good for you taking control of a healthy life and future. Of course, first off you're doing it or you, but dang those kiddos are a huge motivator aren't they! Love 'em!
  15. Some meds specifically state not to crush so ive been taking my meds since the day if surgery. I don't know how a pill could be a sleeve problem other than swallowing difficulties
  16. for those needing to lose a few lbs via the flu
  17. Yep.. All better thank you! I have always worried about vomiting while sleeved. I imagined me puking my stomach out.. Yeah, I am strange.
  18. At least get your fluids in and purée some chicken and put it in chicken broth. Stay hydrated and safe
  19. Yep.. That's right! I'm soooo happy I had the flu! I lost 5 lbs! FINALLY, after a several week stall I don't care what made the scale move
  20. Each work place policy covers different things and it sounds like your sister's work place policy excludes wls? Or does her policy include wls, but she is being specifically denied?
  21. Omg.. What a sweet loving mom! You're so blessed. Don't worry about success.. Once you're on your way you will love your journey and always see the light at the end of the tunnel.. Or scale in our situation
  22. Mine was any type of medical needs after surgery. My insurance will not cover anything wls related.. Including urgent or life saving means.
  23. It's my private business and I just tell them I'm not eating as much and low carbs. You may be hearing from some around here who believe we should share our private issues with the world ..as in the "why lie" post. To each his own and mine is mine Watch out
