  16. I'm absolutely ready for the change & know it's just a tool. The complication and regret part are what scare me. Other than that I've researched & prepped like crazy. My surgery is next Thursday

  19. Thank you luckysmomma for being so honest. I would never slam you for just being truthful. I'm so sorry you have so many regrets...hope it gets better
  20. I wish there was a like like like button Proud Grammy!!! Thank you...this has helped tremendously with my small panic attack. Feeling much better now
  21. Thank you so much...I needed to her that. Before I asked this same question & received mostly positive feedback but the thread I read today started by somebody else was a lot of negative & regretful ppl. They were all just being honest but it totally freaked me out
  22. So good to hear! I'm getting major cold feet now!
  23. Okay I've asked this question before but want to ask it again. I'm getting sleeved next week and earlier today stumbled upon an old and honest thread. Many we're talking about how much they regret doing it, wish they hadn't and had suffered complications along with depression. So am wanting to ask this question again....Any hardcore regrets after the first couple of weeks??? Reading all that today has hit me pretty hard

  26. I need to peek into The Man Room more often! This is where the real conversation is at! Lol!
  27. So excited you will have this behind you and be on your new journey soon! Thx for posting the pics. I am having my surgery there next month. Keep us posted
  28. I've seen and chatted with a lot of men on here. I think everyone's right though....women just talk more.
  29. Yes and no... The hospital is clean and has equipment etc.. It reminds me a LOT of my little hometown hospital. It's definitely not a clinic or "scary" But it's not like a big fancy US hospital. Also, you have to ASK.. I even had to ASK the nurse to help make sure I was walking enough. I also had to keep an eye on my IV bag and make sure that it was still dripping. Seems like I read that somewhere else too. A good tip to know about the walking
  30. I am having my wls at Mi Doctor Hospital. I hear it has the same standards as US hospitals.
  31. My patient coordinator that I'm using now said that Dr Almanza is a great surgeon. I was originally going with him but backed out because of the clinic he works out of. I think your right though...in the end we have to choose the best surgeon that fits our needs.
