Lemon!

I'm 5 days post up and just had a lemon. Put chili powder on it, drank the juice, and ate some of the pulp. I'm Mexican and we love lemons. Now I'm scared I'm hurting my stomach. I'm still freaked about a possible leak. Did anyone else have a lemon so soon after?

I had lemon juice in my water as soon as I came home from the hospital - 2 days post op. I would say take it easy though - very acidic. Drink lots of clear liquids (water) to flush your sleeve out....AND...don't do that again for a few weeks! :)

Mmmmm.....I can't wait to be able to eat some cucumbers and tomatoes with chili powder and lime. My instructions just say to avoide spicy foods during the full liquid diet.

Umm.. As its always been noted all drs are different in post surgery diet, but lol.. I think acidity is one thing you're supposed to avoid and a lemon is pretty high in acid
