FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
Ok, I'm 7 months post up, down 62 lbs. Lately I have noticed the overwhelming stomach gurgles. It's almost embarrassing because my stomach gurgles while I am eating. Any idea why this is happening and how I can contain it.

Hair loss
I am losing a lot of hair as well and was told to take Biotin 10,000 mcg.. I am trying not to stress about the hair loss but it's difficult sometimes.

3 weeks out and having abdominal pain
I was sleeved on 2/14 and have felt fine for the most part. Yesterday I spent too much time without eating so was starving. I picked up food for my kids and ordered a veggie burger for myself. I had about a third and could not eat anymore. Shortly after finishing I was dry heaving. This morning I woke up and felt awful. I have a bloated type abdominal pain. I am bet uncomfortable and eventhough I feel slightly hungry, I don't really want to eat. Anyone feel this and if so, what did you do or take for it.

Hellllpppppp... I have a date Saturday!
Ok fellow sleevers so this coming Saturday I have a date. He does not know I had WLS, he thinks I had a cyst removed from my ovary (yes, I know but I didn't want to tell him before met him). Here is my dilemma: I was sleeved on Feb 14th so I start purées tomorrow. Obviously first date screams dinner and drinks and I can have neither. How do I manage? What can I have? He mentioned going to Cheesecake Factory, I can probably have a Soup but what do I do about the drinking part? juice? Plain Water?.., please offer advice... Thanks

FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
Yes, I am on Lovenox and you are right the medicine burns. I notice that it hurts on some parts of the stomach more than others. You definitely want to do these because they avoid blood clots and you want a smooth recovery.

FEBRUARY SLEEVERS 2013....how you doing after you've been Sleeved
- Will I be normal?
Thank you all for your encouraging words, I can't wait until I can for the first time in m life wear single digit clothes.. Lol.. I am staying positive and looking forward to all the great rewards.- Will I be normal?
So I was sleeved on February 14th. The first day I didn't feel awful but the next day I cried. I had horrible gas pains, the nausea was constant and I was have a huge bout of buyers remorse. Today (4 days post op) I am feeling slightly better. My gas is moving and finally coming out and I am in taking a little more. I would love to hear from those that are further along so they can tell me how they feel. Will I ever be normal? Will I be able to go to a social function and indulge in a glass of wine? Will I be able to eat a least half a burger at a BBQ or is red meat a no no. Come on people let me know that I have made a good decision..- Surgery yesterday, not bad
So I have been on this forum snce I started my sleeve approval journal and must admit have become obsessed since I got my date. I was sleeved yesterday and am happy to report that it has not bad as I thought. My main complaint is discomfort due to the bloating. This is caused by the air pumped inside to perform surgery. I was told that on the first day I would be passing a lot of gas and I have not even burped once. That discomfort is awful. Other than that, I feel great. My surgery was at noon and I woke up in recovery at 3pm. I was in and out of sleep until about 8:30pm. At 10:30 I was given a sponge bath and then was taken for a walk. Now I am awake because of the discomfort coupled with the fact that I am sleeping on my back. Anybody else having these same issues.- Any Hispanic Sleevers here? Help me
Lol.. Asi es, hay que ponerse buena. I am also Dominican and love my rice and beans, my mangu with salami, fried cheese and eggs. I getting sleeved on February 14 so i am on full liquids now. I hope I can have all my favorite foods (obviously in very small portions) and made more healthy. Good luck to my fellow compatriots y pa'lante a ser mamis- Any Hispanic Sleevers here? Help me
- Anybody have second thoughts 4 days before surgery
Hellllp, I am 4 days away and am having second thoughts. I'm scared.. What if I can never go to a function and enjoy myself? What if I can never eat any of my favorite food (even if it's a tiny portion) ever again? What if I get malnourished due to the lack of caloric intake? Has anyone felt this? How did you talk yourself through it?- Vitamins and supplements Pre and post op
I got some multivitamins with calcium, vitafusion., something like that. They are chewable and are caramel and chocolate flavored.. I take them ad dessert. Lol- 10 Day Liquid diet help
I am on day 4 of liquid diet and it is tough cause of course all weekend I have been surrounded by food. I have managed to stay away but it has been so tough. I am having soup, protein shakes and jello. I am also allowed sf pudding and watery oatmeal. I have 10 more days to go.. I know I can, I know I can
