Your hair falls out anyway. Really not much you can do about it. It's the weight loss from extreme drop in calories and anesthesia. Docs shouldn't tell their patient it won't happen if you do such an

I don't know, but I hope it ends soon. I'm into my 4th month and am losing hair by the handful. I comb it before I wash it and when I comb afterwards, it still comes out by the handful! Fortunately I have a lot of hair. I think I'm the only one that notices my hair isn't as thick as it use to be. I wonder how much more I would be losing if I wasn't taking Biotin :o

Hope your hair loss stops soon (which could mean mine will stop soon too...hehehe)

I'm 4 mo out and my hair is doing the same. A friend who had it done last year said she went thru the same thing and it did stop. Guessing this is just a phase we go thru.

mine has been falling out since week 3 and continues. nothing can really be done. its sad

I'm scared to swallow pills! How do you take your biotin?

I am 9 weeks post op & started noticing the excessive hair loss about 2 weeks ago. I heard the hair loss really kicks in about week 8 & continues for a few months. I hope it slows down as my body adjusts. Taking a sublingual b12/biotin from wonder labs.

I am losing a lot of hair as well and was told to take Biotin 10,000 mcg.. I am trying not to stress about the hair loss but it's difficult sometimes.

I am almost 6 months out and really started noticing hair loss about a month ago. I got Bosleys shampoo and conditioner for viably thinning hair and rogaine for woman and my hair feels way thicker. I still notice some hair loss but NOTHING like I was seeing before.

Your not getting enough protein. Ring happened to my friend she increased her protein in take and now it's growing back....take hydrolyzed protein. 28g it comes in small dosage ring add in water. Goes down fast....I try to get in 70-80 g a day

My hairloss is really bad also....my hair was thin before the surgery now I'm afraid I will go bald. I take biotin and a super b complex...ugh...I'm 4months out, I hope it slows down before i will need a wig..omg

Mine started coming out around 3.5-4 months, and kept coming out really bad for about a few weeks. I went to a dermatologist, got some cortisone injections and topical, and it slowed way down about 1-2 weeks after that. It's still coming out some, but not bad at all. Mine was not thick before this, but it's really thin now :( I'm anxious for it to start growing back....I think I see some little hairs growing in, so I'm encouraged!

You can get it in liquid form...just google liquid biotin.

My surgery isn't until July 2nd. Reading the hair loss stories kind of freaks me out. I will tell you that I'm a hairdresser, and I've recommended Redken Intraforce hair care for my clients that have thinning hair. I've noticed a remarkable turn around for them. Worth a try. I'm going to order the liquid Biotin ASAP.

Mine lasted from about month 4 to between 9 and 10. I was getting all of my Protein, taking all my Vitamins, and was taking Biotin from my pre op diet on. I tried nioxin, fight fall shampoo & everything else that has been suggested. Nothing worked. And my hair was thin to start with.

It just stopped on it's own. I now have tons of little baby hairs at the roots. I wish I had better advice. I can tell you the 155 pounds I've lost is well worth the hair loss.
