  1. Yay!! No turkey wobble!! Awesome!
  2. I was doing great with my pain but then a week out I was turning over in bed, felt an awful pain in my biggest incision and I thought I too saw the light! Lol! I guess I popped one of my internal stitches. It hurt for a day or two then I was fine. If your pain is constant still tho just be sure to mention it to the dr in your follow up appt! Good luck!
  3. Slow down girl!! Lol! I haven't done the sliming thing but twice I ate too fast and my mouth watered really bad like I might throw up. I panicked, stood up, tilted my head back and took a few deep breaths and it went down. Not sure which is worse tho, throwing up or getting it down then feeling like crap for an hour after.....oh joy!
  4. I think mine we're good at 6 weeks out. You just want to make sure they are sealed closed to where Water can't seep into the incision or it could cause an infection. Everyone heals at a different rate tho.
  5. I was ok to drive so long as I wasn't taking pain meds anymore. No lifting over 10lbs and my dr said basically if I was doing something and it hurt to just not do that. I could walk and I did a few weights that didn't force me to use my core. Just like arm ones. At 2 months I was cleared for any exercise I wanted to do. Bathing is ok as long as you don't submerge your incisions, those need to completely heal before you swim or cover them with Water. I was allowed to drink decaf coffee for the first 2 months after that I could drink regular.
  6. Yes! Of course! I think I was more excited than scared tho. I know how you feel, when you think of having to lose 200lbs it sounds crazy. I will tell you that my highest weight I was at 427lbs. I had surgery on January 15 and my weight was 413. I'm now out 3 1/2 months, as of 2 weeks ago I had lost 80lbs and I now weigh 333. It's been the best decision ever! My life has changed so much. If there is one piece if advice I can give that has helped me is keep a positive attitude. If you have surgery and go thru it you are going to have many emotions, thoughts and feelings. Your mind will fight you a lot but you have to be strong and remind yourself that you did this for a reason. You will have bad days. Use this sight for support, embrace your new life with a positive attitude and you will do great! Good luck and I commend you for making the choice to live a healthier life.
  7. Good luck!! Hope it all works out for you!
  8. Lol! That's cute! Congratulations!! Aww to be in onederland!! You should be proud! Good job!
  9. I'm losing mine right now. It's not like I'm going bald, just thinning out a bit. I do have some new growth already tho so I'm happy about that. My dr didn't do a leak test aside from the one she did while I was still on the table. My throat was sore for a bit, I also had a canker sore on my lower lip from where the intubation tube was resting which hurt for a few days. You will do great! Keep the positive attitude and you will be fine!
  10. I would definitely mention it to your doctor. It might be nothing but if you have a history of clots I think it's worth getting checked out.
  11. I usually have a Protein bar stashed in that little zippered part of my purse that I keep my feminine products in. That way it's not floating about in my purse and its there in a pinch.
  12. I was ok'd for salads at 2 months also. I love salad! I missed it so much for those 2 months. I'm not allowed bread til 6 months and even then I plan on keeping it to a bare minimum til I get to goal. I'm 3 1/2 months out.
  13. I like buying underwear right now. Like cute ones that don't come in a package!
  14. I love the Quest bars, I know they cost a bit more but I don't eat them every day. I love that they have 20 gms of Protein and only 170 calories! I like the cliff bars As well. Luna isn't too bad either.
  15. Heck yeah! I would do fun colors like pink or lavender! I wouldn't try to play it off like real hair, I'd go color crazy!
  16. Yes, I think you've done we'll so far too. My advice would be to cut out carbs or at least keep it down to no more than 40grams a day. My dr doesn't even allow grains til after 6 months. I'm thinking if you got rid of a good chunk of your carbs and increased your Protein by tracking you would start to lose again. Good luck!
  17. This is really cute! I love the little skirts too. That's what I wear with a tankini top.
  18. I love you msantiband!! You crack me up! You AND Laura!!
  19. Nicely done!! You will totally make it! Good job!
  20. You are 20!! Your skin could still bounce back somewhat! It's just gotta catch up with your weight loss. It's only 1 summer out of many more, rock a one piece and forget about it. By next summer maybe your skin will have caught up, if not maybe some plastic surgery a few months before swimsuit season and you can go back to rockin the bikini again.
  21. You look awesome!! Way to work that sleeve!! Nice job!
