  1. Oh no! I just read this. That stinks. I haven't heard of the black bean pasta! That sounds good, I love black beans!
  2. Yes, thanks for the info!
  3. I know right?! Lol! First thing I thought!
  4. I was just wondering the other day how you've been doing! You are doing awesome!! Great job on the weight loss!! Good to see an update! Keep it up, you got this!
  5. "Go on its fine, look at me" that gets me because at the end of the day I don't care what you say WE ALL HAD A PROBLEM WITH food. EXACTLY!!
  6. Lol! I'm sorry, I saw your title and laughed because I thought you were having dreams of eating in a field of pasta! I have to wait a few more months before I can have Pasta so I was relating! Anyhow, is this pasta supposed to be better for you somehow? Just curious.
  7. My dr wants me to get in 60-80 grams of Protein. She was not to concerned about carbs. I was eating about 400-600 calories at week 4 but I was already on solids with the exception of no grains whatsoever. I'm thinking you should be around that tho if you're doing Protein shakes. Exercising helps but to be honest at 4 weeks I was only walking and it wasn't til about week 6 that I started going to the gym on a regular basis. Everyone goes thru stalls. Probably moving to purées will kick start your weight loss again. Just follow your NUTs food progression plan and trust the process. It will come off. Good luck!
  8. And who do you think she'll blame when she gets a small bowel obstruction?! It can happen. My surgeon was telling me about someone who tried scrambled eggs too early and had to go into the hospital to have them removed. And she was a NURSE! She knew better. This is a serious surgery and the consequences to not following rules can be life threatening. Why do people not understand this? I know what you mean Laura about not saying anything. People who post stuff like that have already made up their minds not to follow dr orders, what good is it to say anything more? As far as the newbies, I would hope they would use their brains and follow their drs orders and not listen to someone who so obviously defies theirs.
  9. Yeah I had to pick a weight loss program, follow it, then my dr had to sign off on it and provide a letter for my insurance. He picked weight watchers for me because they weigh once a week and give you a card that I could turn in to him. I was lucky, I only had to follow one for 8 weeks. If your doctor knows you have tried, etc he might be willing to write the letter for you now or hell want you to do a diet. I would ask. Good luck!
  10. I also wonder if a surgeon would cancel surgery on a patient who has an "I know what's best for me not you" or "I get all my info from a forum and they know what's really in my best interest" attitude. I'm thinking they might cancel.
  11. Personally, I followed my surgeons directions. I would rather make the decision to follow her instruction than to get a leak or something worse and my feeble response be, "we'll so and so ate this or did that and nothing happened" ....rules are made for a reason and if you're going to trust your surgeon to cut 85% of your stomach out, shouldn't you also trust they know what they are talking about when it comes to your diet and all other things entailed?
  12. Do yourself a favor and cover them up for the first few months. I didn't and they got darker. They are starting to lighten up again but geez they were purple for a long time. Several months....
  13. Your stats are similar to mine! You look great! This helps to see such a difference in you, then it must mean I'm looking different too! Thanks for posting! And I agree with Laura, beautiful outfit to go with beautiful smile!

Lol! That's cute! Yeah I gave up on my lingerie, they were getting too big and it costs too much to buy more when it will just keep happening. So now til I hit goal, I just do hair, make up and naked! My husband loves it so were good!
  15. I love muscle milk but the vanilla one! I can drink it room temp or cold!
  16. Yes! I would love to look like you at the end of this! You look great! Congrats! Love your bra too btw!
  17. Congrats! Remember to walk and get to drinking!
  18. I'm glad you found out that's what it was from! Hopefully getting more Water in will help with your memory loss! Good luck!
  19. Well I didn't ever have an IUD but I do have PCOS and since I've been sleeved Aunt Flo comes visiting every month now around the 30th. And before surgery I might have had 1 period a year.
  20. Omg I went thru this same thing at 2 months out! It lasted for about a week or 2 then went back to the 3-4 ounces. I have no idea why but I just listened to my body and went with the flow. Weird.....
  21. You're doing great!! You look great!! Congratulations! I'm sure you will get to goal! Yay!!
  22. Yes. I also took a ppi post op for 3 months as well. Ask your doctor to prescribe something. If you have insurance it will help with the cost, those things can get pricey depending on how much you need to use
  23. Yeah, I would say you need more Water too.
  24. I love you OTR!! This is exactly the video I was thinking of! Thanks!!
