  3. Perfect! That's all I drink on any given day anyway! Woo hoo!!
  4. Omg you poor thing!! I had to do the blood clotting shots for 2 weeks after and I did have bruising but not as severe as this. Are you normally an easy bruiser? I'm glad you are seeing the surgeon to find out what's up. Make sure to post an update!
  5. Sleeved 1/15 HW 427 SW 413 CW 333 Height 5'7 Woo hoo!
  6. Me me me!! I thought I was the only one!! I love pickle juice! I crave it! I munch on pickles as Snacks and every time I get one I have to drink some juice! My husband thinks I'm weird but then he hates dill pickles. I also find that after I drink some I'm thirsty which in turn causes me to drink lots more water! Love it! Lol! Oh and for me I will eat any pickle but pickle of choice are the ones in the refrigerated section in the grocery store, the Claussen brand! They are the best in my opinion!
  7. That's so awesome! I'm so happy for you! You sound like you are loving life and that's what this is all about! Congratulations! You look great!!
  8. I take Fiber gummies every night. I've heard chia seeds work great too and you can sprinkle them in food! Good luck!
  9. Me too! I'm sorry you feel like crap! That's no good!
  10. Omg that sounds delicious!! Lol! Can we say liquid crack!! That would def be my "gateway" Protein drink! Ha ha!
  11. I also track in my fitness pal! I'm 3 months out and doing 800-1000 calories a day. I eat 80+ grams Protein and try to get in over the recommended 64oz of Water. I weighed today at the dr and have lost 80lbs since my surgery! I'm pretty sure the last 20lbs came from increasing protein and water intake
  12. Til you tear your cartilage in your knee and now I have to have surgery to get it fixed! Bringing my exercising to a screaming halt!! Grrr!
  13. I'm 3 months out and eat between 800-1000 calories and don't seem to have fatigue issues. I also get in 80 gm protein and 64 oz water if not more! Good luck!
  14. IMHO I think a lot of it is how you carry yourself. I have always been an outgoing person, I love people. I'm a pretty confident person, usually always happy and have a smile on my face. Its been my experience that people like that confidence factor, they are drawn to it, heck, I met my husband at my 350lbs! Ive never let my weight hold me back from anything. If ppl like me great! And if they don't...well their loss. I like who I am, overweight or not. I do my hair and makeup everyday and take care in how i look. I don't say all that to sound stuck on myself, but I've been overweight my whole life and I just accepted that a long time ago. It was only because my health was deteriorating, with high bp, sleep apnea and diabetes lurking in the shadows and I was sick of it. I researched this surgery a long time before I got it and I'm happy that I did. Some ppl that I have known or have observed that are overweight have a kind of stand offish aura about them. Almost like they put it out there with their body language or facial expressions that they are not happy about their size or they just look uncomfortable being around people. My heart goes out to ppl like that. I know there are ppl out there that are just mean and just don't like fat ppl or we disgust them. Thats too sad because they are missing out on getting to know some nice ppl. I just wonder how many skinny ppl who lack self confidence don't experience the same feelings of being ignored and heavier ppl just automatically assume it is because they are overweight? Just food for thought. I did notice the other day though that I was being checked out at the gym by a couple of guys and that made me smile, didnt mention that to my husband tho!
  15. Well my dr wanted me to get in my Protein and was less concerned about carbs that early on, plus i would only drink half of one at a time. I never worried about the carbs. I've been off Protein drinks as a regular since 1 month out. I still drink half of one when I need to supplement. I was sleeved 1/15 and I've lost 80lbs since surgery as of this morning. I don't think it adversely affected me but if unsure, ask your dietician. My surgeons PA was the one who recommended it.
  16. I haven't had this issue but there was a thread about this very topic a few weeks ago. If you type in vaginal dryness in the search bar it should come up. I would also agree it may be a Water thing, like not getting enough. If people PO have dry skin i dont see why some wouldnt experience this as well. Good luck!
  17. I didn't have one. I just watched what I ate and lost 14lbs on my own but a diet was not required thru my surgeon. Just Clear Liquids the day before so my body was prepared for anesthesia the day of surgery. Every dr is different tho.
  18. Me too!! Also, if you're really thirsty and want to chug but know you can't, swish the water around in your mouth first! That really helps! I still do that if I'm super thirsty and just took a few big gulps, like when I'm exercising.
  19. I did a lot of hot tea in the beginning too. Also, I preferred my Water room temp. Cold water hurt at first. Warm stuff went down easier for me for the first few weeks. Good luck!
  20. I say ask your doctor! They would tell you if youre losing too much weight or not. Unless your anorexic I can't imagine a dr saying you're too thin, IMO.
  21. I really like vanilla Muscle Milk! I can drink it room temp or cold. Cold is better but I can drink it either way.
  22. I am so sorry you are having to go through all of this. Please know you and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers!
