  2. Almost 3 months post-op, and still having issues with mucus in bowel movements. Is that typical?

  4. The hospital gave me puréed scrambled egg the morning after my surgery. I've been eating them about every 3 days. Very filling, but taste so good compared to all the protein shakes. I'm 1.5 weeks out.
  5. At my pre-op they took more blood, did an EKG, I paid (self-pay) and the nurse asked me a million questions.
  6. Is the hair loss like postpartum hair loss - a lot comes out but it eventually grows back? Or is it gone forever? My nurse told me today that the surgeon will do an EGD while I'm still under anesthesia to check for leaks. My surgeon doesn't do a leak test the day after surgery like I've heard others do. She said my throat may be sore when I wake up. Did anyone else have this? My surgery is next week and I'm so excited and nervous.
  7. Tomorrow I start my pre-op shakes. Does anyone have recommendations on a good blender?
  8. I'm in the same situation. It makes me nervous. Especially thinking about getting up and down the stairs. We can do this!!

  10. I'm right behind you! Surgery May 8th and pre-op April 22nd. So excited and nervous!
  11. I will be sleeved by Dr. Scott on May 8th. Excited but terrified! Hope everything went well for you.
  12. Thanks. So the staples stay in forever? My mom was asking these questions today and I had no answer.
  13. Maybe I wasn't listening well enough to my surgeon, but can someone remind me how the stomach is sutured back together after they remove the part that comes out? Stomach itself, not the incisions where the trocars are inserted.
  14. Dr. Scott is sleeving me on May 8th. I enjoyed reading your synopsis of your first week post-op and hope mine goes as smoothly. I'm excited and terrified at the same time. I have two young children and I'm not sure how I'll handle caring for them but fortunately have very supportive family. Dr. Scott is amazing and I have such confidence in him. Glad your surgery went well.
  15. I'm in Rome and getting sleeved in April by Dr. Ryland Scott with Floyd Bariatrics. Nervous but excited!
