Better or worse than expected?
much much easier than I expected. Had one dose of pain med after surgery then didn't need anymore. I made sure I walked a lot before and right after surgery. I think it really helps with the pain and recovery factor.

Bougie Size and Restriction
Ok, I understand that in the long run the bougie size between 32 to 40 are minimal. I believe I read that it is about an ounce difference overall. Well I've read about quite a few people that have restriction early on and I wonder if it has to do with the bougie size. With the swelling of our tiny tummies, I think bougie size in the first couple of weeks/months can make a big difference. If you know what bougie size your doctor used, could you let us know and if you have problems with getting in fluids and for how long before you're able to get in all fluids? I hope we can gather enough data to show how much bougie size affects restriction immediately after surgery until 4-6 months out so that new sleevers can have an idea of what bougie size to discuss with their doctor. My doctor used a 38 bougie and I had no problems with fluids starting day 3, my first full day at home.

Help
try to relax. you'll do fine...just keep positive thoughts in mind...just think how great you'll look and feel after the weight loss. Just take things slowly in the beginning. I was sleeved in Feb and am doing great from the day I got home. Sure I had some adjustments to make like sipping slowly and making sure I got all my fluids in. I did vomit on the second night, but after that I felt great. The next day, I was able to get all Proteins and fluids in. each day was better and better. good luck tomorrow....let me know how it goes. I hope you have smooth surgery and speedy recovery.

My psych eval today....

First stall & questions
try to get all your fluids in and try increasing calories for a day....need to fool your body that there isn't a famine and it's okay to let the fat go. I was on about a two week stall then one day I was down 3 lbs. vsgkirk has good advice....it's hard to not weigh ourselves everyday. I still do it, but I keep in mind that I will have stalls, but I continue to eat right.

Getting frustrated need help
