  1. Do you get a discount on thos Harley parts, LOL? Congratulations on the job, just in time for the holidays.
  2. OUCH, bit your tongue, I bit my jaw a dozen times last week and that hurt bad enough, poor thing. Hope you're feeling better and stay well.
  3. That first fill is tricky, my doctor missed the entire port first time around. I think it should be a must to use the fluoroscope. Glad you survived.
  4. Where are all the pictures?????

Typical to be nervous day before. I didn't have tummy pain, just tenderness, but I did have a little left shoulder pain that would come and go. I didn't use pain meds after first day home. I guess I'm a tough ol bird, LOL. You'll do fine and be happy it's over, I wish you the best.
  6. Obviously you're doing something right, you've lost 60 lbs, but for me, I couldn't imagine eating a sandwich period, omg, the thought of two slices of bread, together makes me want to head for the sink, LOL. Although, the thought of tasting that sandwich makes me go yummmm. No bread for me, the thought of getting that golf ball feeling scares me. Soup and salad old girl here.
  7. After a couple of soapy showers and the final few came off at Dr's office for first check up.
  8. Francesca, please give us an update.
  9. You can see the difference in your boobs, I'll bet you dropped a couple of cup sizes, way to go girl!
  10. I don't take anything. I have a friend who uses the patch and likes it. Once I heard none of that stuff prevented heart disease, I trashed it all. I'm taking the route of my great, great, great, grandma, LOL.
  11. Hugs your way, I wish you and your family the very best, sending thoughts of patience, love, and strength your way.
  12. Welcome to LBT, you'll love it here.
  13. Stop torturing yourselves with the scales, don't do it! There's your depression right there. I don't weigh but every other week, why, because I'd be depressed too. There are so many things that effect the scales, your weight loss and gain, such as muscle gain, which is a good thing. I just posted in another thread, I encourage everyone to get that muscle vs fat test done. When I had gone for weeks without a loss, talk about depressed and thinking oh boy, failed again, I had that test done and I had gained 12 lbs of muscle, since then I've gained even more muscle. (don't know how, but I'll take the muscle gain over the fat gain). Get the test done, then you'll know if it's a good gain or a bad gain, then you can get depressed. Good luck everyone, it is a sloooowww process, we knew that when we opted for this surgery as opposed to the bypass. I know when I see people that have lost 50 lbs since July or Aug, and I think OMG, what did I do wrong, it took me almost a year to lose that, but at least I didn't gain that 50 lbs. We're all in this together. (I hope I didn't sound like I was fussing, LOL)
  14. They had a segment on the Today Show this AM about Xenical and Meridia, like they were new drugs. I took Meridia years ago and it didn't do chit for me, nothing except put wear and tear on my liver. I took the Xenical too, all it did was make me regular, LOL. This was all preband, I wouldn't encourage anyone to take that stuff, just imagine what it does to your liver and may do to your band.
  15. We have a fellow bandster who has the 10cc and was banded in August, she's up to 8 in her band and has little restriction. She's so concerned she's going to run out of room for a fill before she gets restriction.
  16. Egg drop soup is a great filler and lots of protein.
  17. It's been a slow process for me too, but I love my band. I'm such a happier person now and I suppose healthier too, but I think the mental is part of health too. Smooch, sometimes it's not how much you eat, but what and how LITTLE. Not eating enough can cause your body to hold onto what ever it gets. I know when I went for weeks with no scale loss, I finally went to the nutritionist and I had gained 12 lbs of muscle, no wonder the scales weren't going down. Maybe you should have that test done, it's all done on a special scale that calculates fat vs muscle. Everytime I see an obese person, I want to pull them aside and tell them all about the band.
  18. Nykee, that's awesome. Audrey, lets see some pictures!
  19. Poor Baby! I hate that you're going to have to go through the repairs, right here at Christmas too. BUT, I'm disappointed you didn't come here instead of crying and thinking you were a failure. That's what we're here for, come cry on our shoulder, know we're here for you! I wish you the best, you're such a wonderful person.
  20. VQ took my post, regular towel next NSV.
  21. Not to steal your thread, but I can't keep my bra straps up, what gives with that? My cup are filled and the around feels good, weird. My chest, upper boobs, is tender for a few days if I lift something too heavy. Have you lifted something heavy recently?
  22. Hey, Eileen, what about a Virginia gal? I love those detailed cooking directions and pictures of the "equipment" needed. I plan on making a trial batch on Wednesday.
  23. I got a message that said the site wasn't working, boohoo.
  24. Sorry your DH couldn't handle the excitement of a new you. Fortunately, you have a new friend, maybe not a lover, but your band will help you through this time as well as the gang here.
  25. Kathy, I had to retype everything, when I pasted it, the print went crazy, and all the columns disappeared, lol.
