First fill was 5cc

The doctor acted like this was a lot. Is it? I still do not feel much restriction. I mean I ate a hot dog (yuk but I was at the movies) w/o the bun and drank 16 oz water. Should I make another appt to get more?

Give it a month first, as the band quite often gets tighter in a couple of weeks.

5 CCs in a 10 CC band isn't that drastic. A little aggessive, but not super so.

I recommend waiting about 3 weeks if it's pretty clear you have no restriction. If it's iffy, I recommend waiting 4 weeks or at least through one menstral cycle. I never recommend having them only 2 weeks apart.

It takes time to get good restriction (3-5 fills sometimes), so you need to get started on that road.

We have a fellow bandster who has the 10cc and was banded in August, she's up to 8 in her band and has little restriction. She's so concerned she's going to run out of room for a fill before she gets restriction.

Update-----------

I have had 3 fills since the initial "5cc for first fill". I am up to 7 cc and have pretty good restriction for now but I can tell I will need more. If I am not feeling major restriction at 220 lbs and at 7 cc's-------what wil it be like at 170 lbs.???? Dr. said the band losens as we lose weight. I am also afraid I will run out of room in the band.
