  1. end of march, april 1, either way
  2. I like sparkpeople better, tried both, but in the end I found that I used sparkpeople on a more consistent basis. I like the glass that counts water too, because I always seem to forget to drink in between my meals.
  3. I don't know much about thyroid issues but I have pcos, and there is a thread on here with a lot of people with pcos and they have lost a lot of weight, so it can be done. Hopefully there is someone out there than can answer the thyroid part of the question for you...
  4. I'm good with March 30th. As you can see from my ticker my exercise goal is 5000 minutes from now till April (or March 30th). I'm also up for losing 30lbs by then as well. I don't know if I can do it, but I'll try like hell! We're doing wedding dress shopping in april and another 30lbs gone would really work for me. I can get an official weight for you on Saturday. I've been nervous to step on the scale since new years, but I know I haven't been eating as much as before this past fill, so I think I'm still on the downward spiral!!!!!!!
  5. :whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo:
  6. I agree in that spin does look intimidating, but the funny thing is that its the easiest exercise to cheat at. You're controlling the tension, so if you leave the tension low, pedaling will be much easier than if you crank up the tension, which is really great for beginners, or if you've taken some time off from spin, like I have, because you can really go at your own pace until your comfortable to crank up the tension. You guys should definately check it out! (I know, I sound spin crazy, but I just love it!)
  7. Try a seat cushion. They sell them at any sporting goods store and a lot of people in my classes use them.
  8. Karen, You are sooooo awesome. You know I'm stalking this thread! Anyways, CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Whos, try spin. Its awesome, and if you want to get back into cycling, its a great way to strengthen your leg muscles. I'm always in for a challenge!
  10. Punkey, you are going to LOVE your personal trainer!
  11. Thanks for starting the thread Stefanie, I'm totally psyched for 2008. My goal is to lose another 42lbs by June. Not sure if I can pull that one out of my ass or not, but we'll see. Haven't been to the gym in a week, so I gotta get my but back there as well. I just hate the gym in January, all the newbies screw up the parking, and 90% of them never make it past February. I'm gonna start going a little later though, around 8pm. When I go at that time, I just take a quick shower and pass out. I think it really helps my sleeping. Oh and Stefanie, what flavor of the Protein powder would you recommend? I'm thinking of making a purchase as well....
  12. My trainer didn't know anything about the "lapband" at all, but I told her about how it works and she researched it and we worked together just fine.
  13. I'm sooo happy you posted here Alynne, I can't wait to hear more as time goes on. Will you be posting any pictures?
  14. The funny thing about this year is that each christmas I have a huge party at my place and last year I was crazy sweating, like I had some serious issues. This year, I didn't even get warm. Guess I was just sweating because I was fat!
  15. Yeah, we watched the pats play Sat...awesome game!
  16. Ok, I'm getting ready for New Years Eve party at my place, but I wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a really fantastic 2008. My resolution is to make healthier choices, and I hope I can share that with all of you in the upcoming year.....

  18. Staying full for that long may not last forever, but protein first does make a big difference in fullness levels.
  19. I love this stuff with a scoop of Peanut Butter. Tastes like a peanut butter cup. And its cheap. I usually use 1% milk with it.
  20. Thank goodness potluck. I'm working today and have NO time to prepare. How are you feeling today?
  21. Thanks Stefanie Chirp, Chirp!
  22. Oh, and by the way, I'm very excited because I lost another pound. I guess its not as difficult if you're at the proper fill level.....
  23. Busy weekend, even busier monday night. Got 39 people coming over for new years eve, when I wasn't even supposed to have a party in the first place.....Oy!
  24. Actually, I feel bad, you must be going stir crazy at this point. When is your next appointment? When do they take the drains out?
  25. I'm sorry whos, I just looked it up, 15 grams of protein. Still better than half a cup of sugar....... Alynne, just take it easy for now, don't worry too much about weight, etc. Just get in the protein, take your meds, and relax. Two months from now there won't be any swelling and you're gonna look awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
