  1. Everyone has an opinion... I choose not to listen to most of them. When someone offers their advice, I listen, and then say "that's nice". And I do what I want anyways! Lol...
  2. I was wondering if anybody else did juicing. I've been with weight watchers for a while and tracking my food. When I noticed I hadn't had a fruit in over 9 weeks, and my only vegetable came in when I ate a salad, I got a little freaked. I borrowed my fathers juicer last night and already put it to work, I'm loving it!
  3. I go to my local Sam's Club and buy a rotisserie chicken from them, pick off the chicken, add some onion and celery, and a little light mayo and I'm good. Every once in a while I'll have some Willow Tree because I too am a fan, but not for everyday.
  4. One a Day makes a sour gummy that I've been taking.
  5. Well, I finished W1D2, and I can't lie, I'm already sore... But I did make it through the workout... I think I'll be repeating week 1 for one more week though!
  6. I'm trying to get my mind wrapped around doing W1D2 tomorrow. I'm really nervous, and I'm not sure why....
  7. There's an actual Couch to 5K podcast you can download for free on ITunes. Good music, and he tells you exactly when to start running, and when to start!
  8. Also wondering if this has been boosting weight loss???
  9. So glad this is here... I'm not sure what motivated me, but I've lost 3 lbs in the last 3 months and have sort of been at a stand still, so I rejoined Weight Watchers again today (helped me lose the first 80 lbs with the band) and just finished w1d1 of the couch to 5k. I tried this 40 lbs ago and could not do it at all. Totally shocked that I actually did it... but now lets see if I have enough motivation to do it on Friday...
  10. I guess I forgot to mention that I bike 10 hours a week as well... scale is still not budging, thought pilates would help...
  11. I'm so glad someone responded.. Thanx. I've been working on the reformer for about a month now and I am loving it. My only concern is that I stopped losing weight, but inches are definately coming off. The reformer came with two DVD's and I just ordered 2 more. They are pretty easy to understand, even though my first workout I looked more like a wannabe contortionist! I'm getting much better now and much stronger, I just hope the scale starts moving in the right direction!
  12. Medium-rare, and I'm fine. Has to be a tender cut though. Veggies on the other hand.....
  13. Congrats! You look great, but you must feel even better! You are such an inspiration!
  14. I had hair loss for 5 months after surgery, I assume due to Anesthesia... Since then, I haven't had any problems, but I do eat 1200+ calories, exercise, and take a daily vitamin.
  15. Doesn't sound slow to me, sounds successful! Keep up the good work!!!
  16. Happens to me all the time. I don't stress too often, but if something happens and I get stressed, I have to return to liquids until whatever subsides...
  17. Just wondering if anyone else here did Pilates. I just bought an AeroPilates reformer and am in love with it. Before this I had never done pilates so I wasn't sure what to expect, but its sorta like yoga and weight lifting reproduced!:bolt:
  18. I had a polynidol cyst removed from tailbone area, sounds similar to symptoms. If you don't see a doc soon, the fluid in it will ooze out...
  19. I just posted the above and I sound like a raving lune! Apologies!!!
  20. In my opinion, I'd wait a while longer. I had my band placed in march of 07, and we have had a love/hate relationship until recently. I can't put my finger on exactly what changed, my mental attitude towards the band, different attitude, body adjusting to banding? if that's even possible, etc... Whatever the case, I've lost over 40lbs since February. I lost 40lbs from 2007 - 2010 and felt like a complete band failure. I still check this thread out all the time, because I thought for such a long time I would have to have a revision. A few relatives of mine had RNY and did so great with it, but I think I'm actually catching up. You also have to wonder why you think your band is not working for you... Or are you not working with your band. I think all of us getting any kind of weight loss surgery knows that we will have some kind of issue with eating, drinking, etc after surgery, but I also think we just get sick of it. Like, stop... I am so sick of PB'ing... But not wondering why you are PB'ing in the first place. Sometimes it's just an out of the blue thing for me, othertimes, it's my own fault... Also, not to punish yourself, but keep a food diary. Just to see your intake actually is. If its more than 1600 calories, you're eating to much. Under 800, way to few. Maybe its the food you are eating. Too much of a good thing is still too much... I learned that the hard way. Maybe not enough exercise? Maybe you've given up so there is only ice cream and no exercise. Its ok, I've been there. But just be honest with yourself. You can take some time off from the band. The best thing I ever did was join weight watchers for 1 month. That was all I needed. Learning to eat proper foods, with the proper portions. Also, getting back to my original BAND rules helped. Slow down while eating, no drinking, limiting liquid cals, Protein first, veggies second, etc... and keep posting on here. There are so many people in you situation... Just remember, the science of losing weight is sooooo simple. Calories in versus calories out, but it is one long, painful, emotional roller coaster! We're all on the ride together!
  21. Wanted to post this smoothie recipe... Saw it this weekend on 5 Ingredient Fix with Claire Robinson on the food Network and really wanted to try it. Got all my ingredients, blended away, and now I'm making it my new go to Breakfast, it's that AWESOME! Put the ingredients into Sparkpeople and the calories are around 300-350, depending on how much coconut Water you use, how much honey exactly, and how much yogurt and which brand. Perfect for me (and many other bandsters) because it's a complete Meal Replacement, takes me till late afternoon... Hope you like it! Ingredients 1/2 water 1/2 cup honey 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise 2 cups Greek yogurt 1 teaspoon torn fresh mint leaves, plus sprigs for garnish Coconut water, frozen in ice cube tray (approximately 1/2 tray) Directions Combine the water, honey and vanilla bean pod in a small saucepan over low heat. Simmer for 7 to 9 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the vanilla to infuse into the honey. Remove the vanilla pod and allow the mixture to cool completely, about 10 to 15 minutes. In a blender, combine some of the vanilla honey with the yogurt, mint and 1/2 tray of frozen coconut water cubes, or more for desired consistency. Puree until smooth, then pour into glasses and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint. Serve immediately.
  22. I'm in Fall River as well. Had Dr. Ryder @ RIH three years ago!
  23. So Exciting....Love the fact that food is turning you off...So there is hope for some of us!!! Keep us updated with your progress!
  24. Tell me about it. I never thought I'd say this, but I am so sick of eating ice cream for dinner.....
  25. Currently I'm awaiting insurance approval for revision from band to bypass.
