  1. Its completely unbelievable that you didn't gain with all of the swelling. You are sooo awesome!
  2. Yeah, I'm going to by a case of the atkins shakes and make that part of my new years resolution. Its mostly just to make healthier choices, and thats going to be one of them. On top of the fact that I have to fit in a white dress soon.......Yikes!
  3. yeah, atkins makes a cafe caramel one thats pretty good and they have about 160 cals and 20 something grams of protein. The only problem is that they aren't super filling, but my coffee is not at all filling and its probably a lot more cals than that (I know, I know, it was the one thing that I just couldn't give up before). I take it with regular cream and a lot of sugar, so if I gave that up and added protein I'd probably be much better off......
  4. Yeah, I was going to ask, are you guys also taking proteing supplements? I was having a protein shake for breakfast every morning, but then stopped because I never noticed a big difference, but I was thinking about starting again while I try to give up my morning coffee....
  5. Not every doctor recommends it, but if you doctor is telling you to do something, I would listen.
  6. I know, once I walked into a cycle shop asking for spin shoes and everyone looked at me like I had two heads....Hello, cycle shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. All I can say is I can't wait for these damned holidays to be done with already.....I want to see a drop on the scale but am too afraid to weigh in because of all the holiday eating. I've been good, but not great!!!!!
  8. Wow, sorry I'm asking sooo many questions but I'm completely facsinated by the whole procedure...I lurk in the plastic surgery threads all the time, half grossed out, and half amazed!!!!!
  9. Glad to see this thread so lively lately.... I can't wait until these holidays are OVER! I've been pretty good with not eating as much, but there is still junk everywhere I turn, and it really bothers me to throw away food, but I'm trying to get over that. After the last new years party I'm really going to buckle down, I'd like to lose another 25lbs by my bandiversary, so I'm going to have to work it!!!!
  10. Tell me Alynne, did they unfill your band for the surgery, or keep you at your pre surgery fill level???
  11. Ahhh yes, goal was 100lbs gone by August 3, 2008, or as I like to think of it D-Day......No, just joking. That's the wedding date, and I don't necessarily want to be super skinny, or set unrealistic goals for myself, so I figured that was attainable. But, I still have 58lbs to go, so we'll see what happens. I'd like to lost most of it by late April/early May for dress shopping. I already know I'll have to do some spray tanning to hid a few stretch marks, and I know I'll still be a plus size in the wedding dress store, but as long as I feel like I look good, I don't care!
  12. any sporting goods or bike shop
  13. Take it easy Alynne, and follow your docs orders.....I'm sure the swelling will go down and you will look fantastic very shortly. I hope everything looks just as you want it to. As for exercise, I haven't been getting to the gym as often as I would like, but once I'm there its a two hour workout. I'm hoping to pop in either tonight or tomorrow and get in at least an hours worth of cardio. I have to see my doc in a week and I want a bigger drop in the scale than 2lbs I had lost right before christmas. I haven't checked the scale out lately, kinda scared.....
  14. Nice pic....
  15. You may want to do some more reading on this site to see how important exercise actually is to weight loss.
  16. You ROCK Stefanie, most people would have just forgotten about working out just because the gym was closed.....I need to follow in your footsteps tomorrow!!!!
  17. Actually, you don't seem to be a slow loser to me, I was banded march 5 and have only lost 42lbs since then. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to have them gone, but it would be nice to have 60lbs gone!!!!!
  18. 50 min elliptical trainer, 60 minutes legs and abs. Went really well without trainer. I followed her program, plus added some more. I just hope I can keep it up..... Alynne, I can't believe they took over a foot of stomach!!!!! OMG. You're results will be remarkable, I can't wait until you get to see. Be patient for now, and get your rest, and FOLLOW YOUR DOCS ORDERS!!!!!! Good luck!
  19. Jess, soo sorry for your loss. Tulip, you rock! 9hrs? WOW Whos, you're getting closer to me with each trip! You are going to HAVE to let me know when you're hitting closer to New England!!!!! Alynne, let us know as soon as you are feeling up to it. I can't wait to hear how you are doing, and what the results are like.... Ok, so tomorrow is my first training session without my personal trainer. My last session with her was wed night, and I'm sure I'll be calling her in about a month, but I just want to see what I can do on my own for a little while. If I start slacking, then I know I definately need to stick with the trainer. And I figured, I'll be wearing a short skirt for xmas eve, so I should probably do a leg workout to make those muscles pop! Hope everyones holidays go as planned. And thank god we all have our band!!!! I probably would have gained 20lbs just from halloween until now, nevermind over christmas and new years! Oh yeah, I was looking at an old video recording of myself from 2 years ago and I can't believe how fat I was. I mean, I still have 100lbs to go, but I can't believe how effing bad I looked. I'm so happy I don't look like that anymore, and I know that even though I have good/bad days, I will never go back to that.
  20. Ok guys, I have to say, I finally broke the 5 month plateau! Do you think something was wrong!!!!!! I guess I thought I was at the right fill level but my doc gave me a fill of .25cc's and that did the trick. Down 3 lbs in 1 week. I can work with that!
  21. running 3? It sounds like you're back on track......
  22. Well Alynne, you should be arriving anytime now. My thoughts and prayers will be with you! Good luck, and I can't wait to hear about how everything went....
  23. I've seen that mess! It ain't pretty....
  24. Your working the equipment so hard you're breaking it! AWESOME!!!!!!
