  1. I'm getting nervous about just going past week 1 laura, so don't worry too much about it! Losing, are we starting today???
  2. laura, you should definately join us, you probably wouldn't die. And besides, I'll probably stretch the weeks out, like do week 1 for 2 weeks. I just listened to the first podcast and it is totally awesome...and it could be used on the elliptical too. Perfect. Thanks losing, this is not usually music that I listen to, but it really makes me want to work out!
  3. Ok Losing, just figured out the ipod situation and downloaded the podcast...ready to run (I THINK!!!)!!!
  4. Never taken martial arts, but highly interested! How many times a week do you go?
  5. Thanks losing, I'll check it out when I get home. I have the video ipod...
  6. Awesome Chim, cant wait to hear what happens. So, nothing for last night, we'll see about tonight. I may be starting up the couch to 5k program soon!
  7. I'll definately do it with you, I just have to figure out the whole podcast thing on my ipod, I downloaded a few a couple weeks ago, and they won't play on my ipod, just in itunes...
  8. losing, great to see you back...I was also thinking about waiting on the couch to 5k, but maybe I'll join you. I'll have to get the podcast because I'd rather be outside running than at the gym with everyone watching me run!
  9. I've had a cold for the past 2 weeks and have been super nauseous, but my ears are seriously blocked up and I think that screws up your equillibrium (sp), which may make you nauseous. It could just be coincidental that you had a fill at the same time that a cold was coming on...
  10. I wouldn't rush into crunches if I were you. You need to let the port area heal up on the inside. I'd wait at least two months, then check back with Doc.
  11. Quote: Originally Posted by Dibaby I used to have this with my hands when I would do alot of walking. They would swell up like sausages. That doesn't happen anymore. So I dunno. I think I'm just a weirdo That is really weird, my hands would super swell whenever I walked anywhere! It must have something to do with the foot numbness...
  12. Awesome Whos, now theres no excuse! Di, I'm a 9, but in some shoes a 9.5. I'll bet if I go up to a 10 in sneaks I'll feel much better. I completely loosened up the laces last night and I still had slight numbness. I think the next pair I buy I'll try the 10. I also noticed it on the elliptical too. Oh yeah, 60 min spin last night. My knees are killing me today!
  13. Di, I think I'm gonna go up a size next time I get sneakers. What size were you wearing before?
  14. Awesome Idea!!!!
  15. Legs, Butt, and Arms from holding myself up! It's definately one of the greatest workouts ever, up there with running and swimming. I've noticed that it takes me a lot longer to work up a sweat on the elliptical machine now. And it will only take about 3 classes to notice a big difference!
  16. Well, I'm feeling slightly better and I'm thinking of going to spin tonight. I haven't done anything since last wednesday. I feel like a lazy slob!
  17. BaytownBert, you are doing awesome! 25lbs in 27 days???? Unbelievable! Ok, so I've taken a little bit of time off from working out. I'm feeling better, but not 100% yet. I'm not going to the gym tomorrow either, I just want to relax and hope this cold thats been kicking my butt all weekend goes away. Spin is Tuesday and if I can breathe out of my nose I'm definately going! I don't want to stay away for too long because I'm afraid of having to start over again!
  18. Nikki :whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo:
  19. So I didn't do a damn thing last night...besides napping, then going to bed early. I'll have to catch up today!
  20. Come join us on the exercise thread October 07 Exercise!!!!!!!!!!!! We'll make you feel really guilty about not working out. And like the above post suggested, be at the gym so much that you get to know the people. Ask peeps what time it is, when such and such class starts, or if they have ever taken that class. I know taking classes seems sorta girly, but not necessarily. There are a ton of guys in my spin class!
  21. Thanks guys, I think its just a really bad head cold and I'm going to try to sweat it out, but I'm definately not going for gold tonight.
  22. Whos, I did ask for it, and I am glad I went, I just feel like crap. I highly doubt its because of working out. If anything, I probably sweat out what would make me feel worse!
  23. Has anyone needed antibiotics since being banded, say for an ear infection or something. I've been really sick now and I think its time for a visit to the walk in, but I wasn't sure if I could get antibiotics in a liquid form. :sick
  24. OK Full Report: 33min elliptical 10min stairmaster 25min walk with doggy I feel worse now though... I was sore throat all yesterday, now I'm sore throat, runny nose, all congested, possibility of an ear infection, or two. I may just skip the gym tonight and hang out at the walk in!
