  1. You need to add variety to your diet and those were something I really enjoyed! You can also make your own crystal light popscicles too!
  2. I brought my own toiletries facial wash and lotion, brush, toothpaste and blow dryer. Nothing feels better then being able to get refreshed after surgery! Then a change to my own pj's helped me as well and i looked forward to walking the hallways with out the gown breeze!
  3. Awe yes, nothing like knowing you are on the right path and all your hard work has pain off to sleeve-land!! Congratulations!
  4. I would have to say Yes and wear them proudly!! Before surgery I was wearing 2 ankle supportive braces and now I am not and pain free. Woot woot, and yes I am shopping for shoes too! It is all good Of course when you get the new heels, you will have to buy a new purse and outfit to match!! Sounds like a goal shopping trip to me!!
  5. Well congrats on your decesion to do this!! Be selfish and do what it takes to be healthy and happy for you!! I am 5 wks out I would say get some help with the kiddo's for the first few days no matter what you can always tell you help hey I got this after the fact and your feeling great. I spent 2 days in the hospital and had friends watching my lil girl. Then Hubby watched her for a few more days. My daughter was my biggest cheerleader when it came to walking around the house, but the pain was substaintal and I wasnt my self on the pain killers so I needed the extra help that first week. IN fact friends were calling and asking if they could bring meals over to my family. Since I only told 3 people I decided not to have meals brought over.

  13. Well the way i see it is your company will have the new and improved version of you and each and every month it will get better Win/win. I do think it is important because of the demands of your work style to get a doctors excuss and heal properly before returning to work. Becareful and be smart on your healhty journey!
  14. To dance with joy and not care if anyone is looking.. oh wait I already do that! hmmmm, it may look better when i am skinny and healthy!
  15. When it feels good! It took awhile after surgery for me to lay on my side since I was a revison patient and the lapband had to be taken out.. that spot really hurt for a while. Now I sleep like a baby rolling all over the place.

  20. I have only been on my journey 1 month.. and I am so happy! Over the summer at my heavest I had not 1 but 2 braces on my ankles the pain was unbarable. I went to the physical therapist 3x a week just to move around a tiny bit. I vowed if I could walk again with out pain I would do every thing in power not to sit on the sidelines and watch my family live. I wanted to be part of life and be living the best life I could! I am only down 42lbs and a renewed chance at a better life and baby I am going to take it!! Good luck to you and all you do!
  21. I have to agree with CGJ, I had a lapband 5 yrs ago and only lost 60 lbs. It was extremely hard and very painful and the vomitting and reflux problems almost scarred me internally. I had to fight to get my sleeve, I wanted to give up but I knew inside that I was worth fighting for. When i finally got approved for my sleeve I knew it was the 2nd chance and I need to make it work for me. Yes, I have hit stalls just like others but it wont keep me down. Dont let the small stalls get you down push on towards your own victory. Many here have had revisions and it may take a little longer but you can do it!!
  22. Awe, the first time I could enjoy a good cup of coffee was last week and I am so happy. The funny thing is I used to drink 3 cups a day now I only drink 1/2 to 1 cup a day and I am very satisfied!!
  23. Oh my goodness, this guy is a mental abuser! If you kept him in your life he would only play games with you as his insecurities got stronger. I am so proud of you for getting him out of your life and your kids life! Now girl consentrate on making yourself stronger and teach your kids that this kind of behaviour is not allowed in your life or theirs! PSsss, How much did that looser weight? Cause you can count that extra weight off and watch your weight come off now too!! Hugz baby!!
  24. Really my choice in life is thin thighs or thin hair and deflated boobs.. no fair! No No, I am fighting for my hair, I went through this before with the lapband and I am trying my best to save this lioness hair. I started taking Biotin 10,000 and Linum B6 (Flax seed and Omega3) when i started the revision process in July. My hair dresser says she has never seen anyone with so much hair growth and crazy baby hair too! Now here is the surprising thing I use it is called Clear shampoo it is sufate free and i love it. Yes i have spent way Way to much money on all the expensive brands before, tried Nixiom too- hated it for me. Love the K pack conditioner too and Macadamia oil, gotta replenish. So I am praying this time my hair will stay more then last time.
