Have you ever been chastised by another doctor for having weight loss surgery?
That is the worst obgyn I had ever heard of his treatment was demoralizing in every way. And I am so sorry you had to go throught that. I would suggest reporting him to your insurance and him removed as your obgyn physcian. What a terrible bedside manner and abusive man. You go girl for standing up for your rights. Glad to hear you have a wonderful doctor who is helping you on your journey for a baeutiful life.

January 2014 Sleevers Come In!
Be encouraged the time you put into the preop diet and plans will help you adjust with your post op diet. I dont look at what i can not have I look at my list of what i can have and each day i switch it up to make my taste buds happy and surprised. I am amazed everytime how good chicken broth and beef broth taste with just a few Mrs dash seasoning alternatives.

Surgery 2 Days Ago
I had my surgery on Friday, walking stay hydrated and make sure to take GasX or I have an Rx of Nexuum which i take at night it really helps. Then set yourself up for small goal of 15 minutes walks around the house it really does help get the bubbles out in fact you will notice relief as you walk.

My surgeon won't operate because I complained
Run, Run Run.. when a doctors office shows you this kind of treatment after all you have been through I would say it is time to find another practice, get better professional treatment. You are worth all the time and effort you take to change your life you dont need to be subjected to this.

Super Tender incision and whoa sounds like a battle ground in my tummy from all the gas!
Jenlen your not alone, mine gas has me burping as if i drank a big ole beer.. then i giggle and that hurts too. I think it is normal and the walkiing does help. My hubby wont let me get on my treadmil yet he is afraid i will slip and fall and that is not worth the pain if I should. So I am walking all around my house and outside too it helps. I agree the GasX helps more then you know and when you cna have the family rub your back it helps get rid of the gas too. every back rub goes along way, but at times the pain is really hurts so light rubs help get the gas out. I also take Nexuum once a day and that really help too. But i can only take it at night since i take a tyroid in the am and cant take any gas pain meds until 4 hours later.

January 2014 Sleevers Come In!
Well I am 6 days out and doing fine after surgery. So very blessed to be a sleeved sista and be on the road to healthy new me!! My surgery was just 1 1/2 hours the hardest part was I was the 2nd to last patient and no drinking water for over 16 hours was hard. I was in the hospital for two days beleive me that 4am visit from the pain can be a doosy I found out the hard way that sleeping through more then 4 hours means you wake up in pain which is no fun. All the sugestions on what to take really helped too especially the extension cord and my little hot pad!! A must for any one who wants to heal quickly!!

How Long Is Surgery For A Revision From Band To Sleeve?
I had my revision surgery January 2nd ,my surgery was 3 hours , I has bad scar tissue and the band was growing into my stomach , that being said I felt great after surgery a little sore and tired first couple days but that's it not a lot of gas no nausea , I felt much better after this surgery .The Lapband recovery was harder for me . Oh my goodness Nat78 sounds like your body went through alot. So I am understanding you right you did get to have both the lapband removed and the sleeve done in one operation?

How many people took their husband with them?
Just curious how many people took their hubby with them? My Hospital allows you to have your spouse with you to stay in the room with you and be your support. Now I have arranged for my hubby to be there to help me get moving and encourage me along the way. But getting closer I am kinda wondering if I should do that? Any advise from those that have or thouse that wish they had would be helpful!

doreens decision
I agree with what you said. My father died a week before his 55th bday due to coplications from obesity. So that has been my driving force to get healthy and to embrace life to the fullest. Sure I may have tried every diet road there was before going on this sleeve journey but the option of living a longer and healthier life has always look brighter!
