It's been 3wks for me. I have not yet, I think I'm to scared .LOL ~~~Stephanie
  4. Thanks to both of yall ,but I do think your right mrsinto about the excitement and then nothing, and then not being able to use food to cope with it. That would be exactly what it feels like. So, I'll talk to my husband about that, and see what happens, he should understand. ~~~Stephanie
  5. Welcome ~~~Stephanie
  6. Is depression something you can have after surgery? My husband is convinced that I have been showing signs of depression since the surgery, it was 3 weeks ago. I will admit I have been feeling something, don't know what it is, But I don't think it is depression. Does anybody know if this surgery could cause symptoms of depression or something of the like? Or has anyone else been told they acted depressed after surgery? Any input would be appreciated. Is there something that goes on after this surgery or at this stage I'm not aware of? ~~~Stephanie
  7. The port will more than likely show the more you lose weight. You can have a low profile port put in when you get closer to goal. Sorry but you may need to figure out a way to tell him. I don't know how long you can hide this from him. Plus with quick weight loss a lot of times you end up having to have your gall bladder removed. Just some thing to think about. Good luck. ~~~Stephanie
  8. I don't know if it is to heavy or not but if your on Clear Liquids the first week like I was then it's not on the list. It falls under full liquids, the second week for me anyway. Have no reason as to what the difference really is between the liquids. Is that what you needed to know? ~~~Stephanie
  9. I had a really hard time getting my liquids in because of the full bloated feeling, is that what your talking about? I never had any problem swallowing. If your having problems swallowing you may need to call your Dr. I stayed bloated for about 3 weeks. After that I only got bloated when I drank to much. You should be getting a little bit better each day. At least I did. But the first 3 days were the hardest. At about a week it wasn't to bad, but i can say now at 3 weeks I feel more normal. Did they give you a fill at the surgery? That could explain why you could be having trouble swallowing, but even then I don't think your supposed to have a problem swallowing. ~~~Stephanie
  10. I was that way for about 3 weeks out . I still get a little bloated when I drink my Water or Protein Shakes. It does get better though. I'll be 4 weeks out Tuesday. ~~~Stephanie
  11. I never want to eat out again. LOL ~~~Stephanie
  12. That's great, I hope to follow in your foot steps. ~~~Stephanie
  13. Not much happened with mine, it was about a 10 min conversation on the phone, and I can't even remember what was said I was so nervous. But I do know it was real simple stuff. Just stuff about me and my weight. Best thing I would say is just try not being to nervous it really is not all that bad. At least it was not for me. ~~~Stephanie
  14. Good luck! And keep us informed on how things are going. ~~~Stephanie
  15. You can really see a difference. Such a pretty picture, Good job and keep up the good work. ~~~Stephanie
  16. One of the thing they told me not to do was bend over. I wore lose sweat pants and they help dress me. If I could do it over I would wear something like a sun dress. ~~~Stephanie
  17. Be careful about putting anything on it my Dr. was very adamant about anything being put on the incisions. Call your doctor. ~~~Stephanie
  18. Are you on Protein shakes? Getting in my 80 grams of protein a day really helped me with feeling hungry or light headed. I don't know what your Dr's. recommendation are but if you can get in 60 to 80 grams of protein it should help. It's what got me through although I still had to deal with cravings for thing, and the urge to cheat Good luck ~~~Stephanie
  19. Did the Dr. put any Fluid in your band at the surgery? I did not run into any problems with sipping anything. So I can only guess if they did not put fluid in then it is swelling. If they did put fluid in then it still is probably swelling but depending on how much trouble your having swallowing they may want to take some out. I'd call my Dr. to see if it is normal to hurt when you swallow. It may be , but it never hurt with me. ~~~Stephanie
  20. I have a 10 cc realize band. I did not have a choice in the matter, it was my Dr's. choice once he got in there and looked around he decided what would be best. If you have a choice the only thing I have read was that the 14 cc realize band had a higher slippage rate, but you know how statistics are it all depends on who did it and stuff like that.so I'd take it with a grain of salt. I put mine in gods and the Dr's hands. So far no problems, but I am only 2 weeks post-op. Good luck with your decision. ~~~Stephanie
  21. I'm 2 weeks post-op and the only thing I can think to tell you right now is research. My Dr.'s great but because there is so much that goes into the pre and post-op and the after they had a booklet but together for everyone. I had to make sure I read it and it was also recommended to come here to this site. I don't think with all the patients they can remember everything to tell you. I don't know about your Dr. and how they do things but make sure your educated just like your doing now. Some questions may have to be answered by your Dr. though. So just keep doing what your doing. ~~~Stephanie
  22. I believe Bariactric Advantage.com has some chewable options. I know they do for the multi and Calcium so they may for the B complex, you could check it out if you want. Their stuff is really good and recommended by my Dr. ~~~Stephanie
  23. Thanks for you're all's replies. I will see how things are going by the 19th, and then we will go from there. I'm pretty sure if I am still in this situation by that time that they wouldn't push me to get a fill if I explain it to them. But I good need one by then so will see. Thanks again. ~~~Stephanie
  24. Are they sugar-free, they say to watch your sugar intake. But if it is just one or two I wouldn't think it would hurt. I chewed sf gum. You could always call your Doc. to make sure. ~~~Stephanie
