  1. Got 2.4cc's yesterday and now I have to be on liquids for two days. Ughhh I don't know if it's my brain or what but I am sooo hungry. I am happy I finally got a fill though, I think I was more nervous doing that then the surgery!
  2. I'm sorry but I don't think a true friend would treat u like that. I also know we all have that difficult friend that we tolerate more than we should. I am proud of u for taking that step to happier healthier life. If she can't accept that and support u then you may not need friends like that. ( :
  3. Yes very normal!! It's really hard but it gets better i promise. I soo wasn't prepared to be that hungry but I made it through. Hang in there it's gonna get better.
  4. I chose to tell my friends and family. I feel like this is nothing to be ashamed of, it is just a tool to help me get on the right path for a healthier lifestyle. Sometimes I think people don't tell others because they are afraid they will fail and that's a bad way of going it to this. Hold your head high, be confident and win this battle. Tell the world u got a lap band, it's ok. It just motivates me more that my friends and family know.
  5. I have heard u climb over stuff and crawl under stuff. And I also believe you can walk around it if it looks like it's too much. I had some friends that did it and loved it!! We are doing the color me rad 5K in June. I have been doing couch to 5k so maybe I can run it all!

Hysterectomy!!! Should have done it years ago!!! Periods should cause that much pain and use to be doubled over. Didn't need that uterus anymore!!!
  7. It is the CO2 build up from surgery, it may last another few days but I promise it goes away. Heating pad and my doctor gave me toradol. But really what helped the most was the heating pad.
  8. Add me!!! I don't have many friends!! Arainey77
  9. Check with your doctor but you wanna make sure the incisions are healed first dont wanna risk getting bacteria in them and cause an infection!
  10. Your exactly right it is reflux and especially if you ate before bed. Try not to eat that close to bedtime. Do you take any reflux meds?? If not you might want to discuss that with your doc.
  11. I am from LR and would love to have some Arkansas buddies! I was banded March 1, so I am still a newbie!
  12. It's miserable but it gets better I promise!!
  13. I take a chewable vitamin, caltrate chocolate chews and biotin.
  14. KatieDee it is normal to be emotional at this point, but u are soo doing a wonderful thing by bettering your life! You had to have thought this out and made the decision to get the band. It is all gonna be worth it. Many people have success, stay away from the negative. I am a little ahead if you and I also had a melt down around the same time as you and I PROMISE it gets better!!! Take your pain meds and gas X. Everyday will get better.
  15. Hi kileybug, my band was March 1st and I had lost 13lbs and when I went to the doctor on Thursday I only had an 8lb lose. I was very upset but the nurse said it was absolutely normal for our bodies to do that and she was proud of me. This is the healing phase and I have to continually remind myself of that. 1lb is four sticks of butter!!!! Your loss is awesome, like 80 sticks of butter! ???œGreat job!!!

  17. Ok I don't get a fill until April 16th but for the past few days in the morning and at night I have felt like I can't breath as well. I have asthma and it kinda feels like I need my inhaler but I haven't really needed it for awhile. So I was wondering if maybe my band is just tight and I am misreading what's going on????? What does it feel like?
  18. Heating pad was my best friend for a few days. Stay hydrated, try Popsicles.
  19. I took a Zumba class tonite! It was great, burned lots of calories dancing. I'm sure I looked silly but hey I recommend it to all!
  20. You didn't hurt yourself but u really need to stay on liquids because you r healing. I was banded March 1 and I PROMISE it gets better!! I also went thru hell because I was so hungry and my kids were eating all the good stuff. U can do this, stay strong!!
