  1. As anyone investigated the requirements of health advantage for TT?? Just curious.
  2. I have always been totally open with my surgery. So people feel comfortable talking to me about the procedure. I do think it is absolutely fine to say how well it has worked for u and it could possibly do the same for that person. It's all in the way you say it.
  3. Hang in there girls!! It takes a few fills to get to the comfort zone. Patience, believe me i know it's hard. It's totally going to be worth it.
  4. I am 5'7 and they are long enough for me. I will put pics on here for u tomorrow if u are interested.
  5. I have two pair of silver jeans I will sell for 50.00. If you r interested I would be happy to send you pics. Thanks.
  6. Hey Padmehum, I think fast track is a self pay type thing. I started my process in January and had surgery March 1st. I used Dr. Wellborn and I didn't have a pre-op diet. I think it is just what your doctor prefers. Good luck with everything!
  7. Down load the app. Couch to 5k. It eases u into running a 5k and then once u have that down they have an app. For the marathon.
  8. Nancy you have to be open with this. It isn't healthy to go around hiding it. It doesn't matter what your sister thinks. She probably thinks its the easy way out and it's not. U still have to put in hard work and time. U need to come to the point of not caring who knows. Open yourself up to the world. I did because I know I WiLL NOT fail. Lap band is a tool that helps you with hunger. It doesn't stop u from eating, that has to be your will power. And shame on your sister for not supporting you, she obviously needs to read up on lap bands.dig deep in your soul and figure out what's important, hiding this from your sis or standing to her and saying is what I am doing hope u can join me journey.
  9. Are u exercising? If no, it is very important exercise regularly and not do the same routine all the time. Make sure u are adding in weights also not just cardio.
  10. I had the same thing and it is gas from the Co2. Unfortunately it won go away until it dries up. A heating pad was my best friend.
  11. Oh u don't use wellborn that was the other girl, sorry!
  12. My husband tells me I am doing great too! I think we r out own worst critics. I can still eat anything I want, even bread. I still go thru drive thurs because of my kids but if I get something I get a wrap or a kids burger no fries ) : this is definitely a process and it is getting easier and easier everyday. Do u drink sodas? I do, like one every other day. I feel like wellborn is pretty lenient on us. I have heard on here nEVEr drink carbonation but they say that's not true. Idk...but I do ok with it. Diet of course ( ;
  13. Mary u sound just like me. I'm glad cuz sometimes I feel like I am the only one especially reading these post about everyone losing so much weight and I have only lost 22lbs which is good for two months. It's hard eating whatever u want, I am having to use a lot of willpower and obviously I am not very good at or I wouldn't have had WLS! Lol
  14. Good luck girls!! I am on my second fill, so far everything has gone smooth. My advice is to remember this is a slow process. I have to remind myself of that everyday, it took me years to pack on the weight so I have to realize it is gonna take awhile to lose it.
  15. I know this sounds bad but I didn't cook for awhile. I was way to fragile in the beginning. Pizza is my favorite so it wasn't allowed in the house. The kids were fed nightly, they either had a fin for yourself nite or dad cooked. It is really hard but I promise it gets better!!!
  16. Congrat!!! Love seeing pics, it motivates me!
  17. I couldn't feel any restriction with my first fill either. I had my second full last week and can fill just a tiny bit of restriction but I go again Monday for another. I think what we are going thru is normal plus it is teaching us we are still responsible for our actions.
  18. Nice post! Very informative!
  19. I live in NLR and use Dr. Wellborn. I was banded on march 1st and got my first fill on April 16th. I don't feel any restriction yet. I have lost 19lbs, feels like it is just barely creeping off!!!
  20. Awesome! Who did u use??? Are u happy with your results so far??
  21. Does anybody know any ways to get insurance to help pay for TT and breast lifts???
  22. I got my first full a week ago and when I eat my bowel sounds get hyperactive!!!! Does anyone else have that problem??? It didn't do this before my fill and it's loud!!!
  23. Hey pretty, it is soooo weird. When them numb your port site it's just a little sting and after that u will fill a ton of pressure. When he inflated the band he didn't tell me and I felt like I was having a heart attack so I freaked out a little and he laughed and said well I know it works. He let some out and I sat up took a drink of water and it was slowly seeping up so he took a little more out until I was swallowing ok. Short painless process!
