Dimple Goldworthy of Michel Delving I used my maiden name because my married name rejected since my husband is a Troll, not a Hobbit.
  6. "I was so angry I actually had a temper tantrum." Vine, I think you're handling it fine! I'm thinking you need to throw a shoe at something. I'm not good with warm and fuzzy, but I'm all about getting damn mad. Maybe it would kick in your metabolism? I think hot anger is a fat melter. Girl, I'm in the same (sinking) boat because I've been eating like most normal folks but I've gained a few more pounds. Water, schmater, I'm fat and that's that. Throw the scale off the damn balcony and go get yourself a pedicure and marvel at how lovely your 10 little berries are at the end of your darling feet. Put on a dress and go to the drugstore pantiless with your newly painted toes (go bright pink or purple) and spend too much money on a bunch of make up that you'll never use. You are a warm blooded faboulous woman that doesn't need to take no crap from a damn scale (prolly invented by a man.)
  7. I only heard this once a very long time ago, and I don't know if it's true. But I heard a rumor that French doctors only allow patients to keep the band for four years, then they remove it. That gives four full years to re-train yourself how to eat. Can anyone back up this information?
  8. I'm glad you guys understand. I gave it some thought, and there's nothing more I can do. If the parents care, they will contact local shelters, who should lead them to Animal Control. Animal Control has a log with the description of the kitty. I just hope they have the dignity to announce the cat's death before telling someone to come pick up their pet. Molly-Mo, I can't believe they did that to you. They are so heartless. Yesterday the remains of Kitty sat around till after lunch time. I called Animal Control a second time to ask when they'd be here, and the snotty woman with the rotten attitude told me a dead cat isn't a priority. That's like saying someone's deceased child isn't a priority in my book. Especially with freaks and psychos walking the streets that might find someone's dead pet entertaining.

Every night Frank would buy a 6 pack and drink it while he watched TV. One night after his last beer the doorbell rang. He stumbled to the door and found a 6-ft. cockroach standing there. The bug grabbed him by the collar and threw him across the room, then left. The next night after his 4th beer the doorbell rang. He walked slowly to the door and found the same 6 ft. cockroach. The big bug punched him in the stomach and left. The next night after his first beer, the doorbell rang again. The same 6 ft. cockroach kneed him in the groin and left. The 4th night Frank didn't drink at all. the doorbell rang. The cockroach was standing there. The bug beat Frank and left him in a heap on the floor. The following day Frank went to see his doctor. He explained the events of the last four nights. What can I do? he pleaded. Not much, the Dr. answered. There's just a nasty bug going around!
  11. I'm having major issues with my mental monster right now, so I just filled up my water, opened a Diet Green Tea and opened a Diet Root Beer all at once. Call me crazy, but I'm fighting it with all I got!
  12. I hope this doesn't bother anyone, but I need advice. A co-worker witnessed a kitty getting hit by work this morning, so she told me. That alone sickened me because why didn't SHE care about Kitty? You guys know that I faint at blood, but I ran to the corner and somehow managed to check if Kitty was breathing. He wasn't. I wrapped him up in my jacket and carried him to my car, and then called Animal Control. I feel awful. Someone will call their pet to dinner tonight. I hope it wasn't a little girl, and I certainly hope the parents will call Animal Control after a day or two of Kitty being gone. They deserve closure. Animal Control removed Kitty, who won't be home for dinner. I'm super busy with both jobs, plus I'm babysitting 2 teens all week. Is it my responsiblity to put a few flyers up in the neighborhood, and if so, how could I word something so awful?

I cracked up at Fuzzbutt. What a cutie. Sophie is breathtaking. She belongs in catalogues or movies - STAT.
  14. Kare isn't a real person. She's my alter ego. I just made up her screen name. KARE, you are the only person in the whole world that I've run into so far that remembers the Schick Center. Sure, they remember the Schick Smoking Centers, but you and I must have been the only two victims in the food department. No matter how bad it sounds what Kare went through, it was 100 times worse. Kare, did you get a variety of counselors during your treatments? Some were kind, but I had this one big fat German woman named Hilda or Comrad or something who was just awful. She had me crying my eyes out, so I ran out of the room, puked, then got in my car and nearly crashed through heaving sobs and tears. Then some dude at a bus stop was opening up a Snicker's Bar and I puked on the side of the road. When I walked in the house I nearly fainted. It was really, really awful. Fish emulsion. You just can't truly appreciate the beauty of fish emulsion unless you've been there. Oh, it was just awful.

"Somewhere" just doesn't cut it for me, so where was that beautiful mountain? Why retire perfectly good jammies?
  16. Felicia, that seems like a lot of pressure. Just stay logged into LBT here all day and we'll cheer you on. Grab a bucket of water and a long rubber hose that leads through the whole house so you'll always be sipping. Good luck.
  17. Since we're on the subject, I need to toss these two sweet treats out. Sounds gross, but someone offered me them both and they are so yummy! 1. Cut big fluffy marshmellows in quarters with scissors. Line a baking tray with Ritz and put one bit of marshmellow on each cracker, then bake till the marshmellows get brown and poofy. 2. Use butter frosting (homemade is best) and frost graham crackers, then break in quarter sections and freeze. 3. Use regular Pillsberry Dough. Make a hole in the center and shape like donuts, then deep fry till brown and poofy, then sprinkle with sugar. I must have PMS. Band. What Band?
  18. Kare, was that cut in three pieces long ways or short ways? Wow, I could add a sliced strawberry and really blow their minds!
  19. Just do your best. I didn't have to do the liquid fast, but I was told to stick to a low cal diet beforehand. I crashed n' burned. I hated admitting it to my surgeon in fear he wouldn't operate, but he was very forgiving and said the Band would help me.
  20. Me too. I take a pill every morning. It makes losing harder, but at least I lost a nice amount with the Band.
  21. Thanks for starting this... I need to make up poo-poo platter items as promised for the Vegas Bash, but I'm making that buffalo chicken dip now! Can we add some finger foods, please? Meatballs and hearty things to fill up little bands?
  22. Trish, can I bold hubby, too?
  23. This whole thing is going down just just 12 miles from my crazy mother. If I come, can I bring her to the dinner? For those that know me, I'm joking. It's a mean joke, too!

I wish I could grow flowers like I grow chin hairs. That's one thing DeLarla has never had the knack for. Next year after I'm fabulously on my way to being debt free, I'm going to re-hire our old landscapers. I have a cute house with a very failing garden issue, and I'd love to have flowers like those. Heck, I'll save the landscaping bill and fly one of you fab women out here to make my house pretty.
  25. I've never met the guy, but I've never seen one negative peep about him here. I've seen tons of threads about him though. He, his staff, and his facility always get top ratings in everything I've ever read.
