Jsrico......you will be there in no time at all. I went to my primary doc yesterday and what a thrill to see the bottom part of the scale on 150 and move the top one. I was so used to it going to the 200 and then moving the top on (not sure if that makes sense). Keep up the good work!

My regular doc is at Emerson but I chose to go to BIDMC just because they have been doing the surgery longer.....He spoke very highly of Emerson though..... good luck!!!!

Last week I was counseling my best friend on her dating drama's (I have been married since I was 20 so my advice might not be any good but anyway) and she was complaining that a guy she is seeing is also dating other people. She said "the girl he went out this weekend is even chubby, I mean come on what is he doing"? He went on a first date with a chubby girl!!!! She made it sound as if the overweight girl was worthless! I got so mad but waited to say anything because I knew it would have gotten too ugly so the next day I told her how shallow she is. I was so upset that she would actually say that to my face, like she is a better person than me or that other girl because she is thin!!! I forgot to mention she is a size 0 and could actually use a few pounds to look better, that is not just my opinion, everyone asks me since I am her best friend if she is sick and then they follow it by saying a couple of pounds would make her look better. So this is not me being bitter, although I am!!! I felt better after the confrontation and she admitted she was wrong and she was just trying to make herself feel better but I told her it spoke volumes about her character!!!

I watch it......he is hysterical! I want him to win also. There was a guy that I thought was real funny that did not make it. Oh well! I missed most of it last week, I am hoping for a rerun or on demand.

Okay so during my first business lunch......I was chewing when my customer (who wanted to go to this tavern because of the great burgers) asked me a question and without thinking about my band I just swallowed and answered him! Not a good move......I tried to continue the conversation with a piece of burger stuck, finally I had to excuse myself and go and slime for 10 minutes. I just made up a lame excuse why it took me so long and then I had to try to fake eating more of the bunl-ess dry burger. UGGHHHH! I realized that my band does not care what the customer suggests that you order, the band knows better, I will now order band friendly food. This was my biggest fear confirmed.....slimming with a customer!

4RE4ME you did a great job!!! I only made it to 19 on the workouts but the challenge did help me start moving.....should we continue for August? Any suggestions on a new challenge.....you should start this one!

I want to keep up with my husband and kids who are very active. In April before my band, we went snowboarding and it was a struggle for me but as my thighs burned and I was out of breath all I could think was "this is the last time I will feel this crappy" Next year I will be healthy! I want to be healthy (and look good) for my kids graduations, weddings, grandkids etc!

Only one lb for me but I will take it!! Not doing well with water at all, considering getting my first fill soon! You are all doing so well........thanks again for the incentive!!! I had some bruising from the surgery but also from the heparin shots they give you to stop blood clots.....I was banded in May and you can still see them although they are now faint! Good luck on your journey.....you will not be disappointed!

I was banded on the 21st and I do not have a fill either! My doc said the same to me, he wanted to wait until the weight loss slowed and I agreed. I feel like I have the best of both worlds for now, I can eat everything but just small amounts so for me, for right now, it works but as soon as the scale stops moving, I will get a fill. I am going to be at BIDMC on Wednesday since my DH is having hernia surgery with Dr Schneider. I thought since I will be there I would go to my first post op meeting but........What about the psycho???? Please tell me who what and where so I do not waste my time. It is a series of clues that lead you to different places. You have to figure out the clue, go to that spot and find the next clue and so on......good luck!

I had port pain for a long time. It was sometimes severe (not to scare you, just honesty). My doc said it is because of the muscle that it was stitched to. I asked about it on here and some people said it will go away overnight....I did not believe them and lo and behold, it went away overnight!!!! When I went back to the doctor I told him that I felt almost a pull/pop when I was hanging curtains and the pain went away, he said I must have popped the last stitch. So be prepared, it could hurt for a while but the pain is all forgotten now and the weight loss is great. Life is good! Congratulations on your band and welcome!

Glad to hear that you are both doing well......welcome to bandland!!! I am so happy with my choice. I eat like a skinny person now, its hard to wrap my mind around the fact that I may be a normal BMI after all. It is truly great when the feeling kicks in. It is just around the corner for you guys!!!! Hey has anyone heard from Quinn?????
