  1. Maybe I haven't been banded yet, but I have spent everyday for 6mths educating myself to avoid such things happening. I've read numerous books, articles and listening to the pros on this forum. Basically Sojo (whom I consider a pro) pretty much backed me up. She just said it better. I also apologized and explained I wasn't trying to hurt her feelings. If she had started her question with "generally speaking". I would have understood her from the get go. So you don't really know me, or if I'm educated enough to respond. So it goes to show your remark was really off base. J/S
  2. Didn't mean to make you feel bad and I wasn't going for any laugh's. I'm sorry if that's the way you took it. I just wanted you to do what your Dr. ordered. Most Drs say between 1/2 to 1 cup of food and that's what I was getting across to you. Don't over eat and follow Drs. orders, period.
  3. Healing thoughts coming your way Laker!!!
  4. I don't know, have not been banded yet. JUST DON'T OVER EAT!!!!! Stick to your Drs instructions.
  5. I should be losing lbs for all the times you make me laugh.

  15. Congratulations! Yes, stick to your Drs plan. You can do this!!!
  16. It's a shame for judging LBT.com by reading one thread. You will be missing out on a lot of knowledge, inspiration & support. Every once in awhile one of our own will be attacked by someone and we come to their defense, but all in all we will support each other. Sch was not pushing her believes on anyone. I'm in agreement with most, if you don't like the thread, move on. I love LBT.com I've learn so much & have made some wonderful friends. Sorry you're not giving it a chance.
  17. Jacki, on a previous post you said the list your doctor gave you said you can have fresh fruits * veggies, not cereal. If in doubt call your doctor to clarify what he wants you to eat. He gets paid well to answer all your questions. Good Luck!
  18. It will move fast enough. Educate yourself as much as possible before the actual surgery. I was in a hurry 6mths ago to get the ball rolling, but looking back I really didn't know as much as I needed to do this successfully. I read somewhere that all this information comes at you so fast that you don't have time to absorb it. It really does! Spend time on this forum and read everything you can about the band. You'll be ready when the time is right. Good luck on your WL journey!
  19. I need double knee replacement. Just the thought of squats hurts!!!LOL
  20. Thoughts & prayers for you tomorrow. It's natural to be a little nervous, but you'll be fine. Can't wait to hear about your successes!
  21. You can do this, boyfriend or not!!! This is about your health. Do something for YOU!!!! If you're a little bitchy b/c of pre-op diet, he just needs to understand. YOU CAN DO THIS!!! If you want it bad enough.
  22. I hope to see a picture of you on said roller coaster! You can do this!!! Your weight loss journey might be like this roller coaster., you'll have your ups and downs, but stay on the ride it will be worth it in the end.
