  1. Love your positive attitude! Keep up the good work and I'll be happy watching your progress.
  2. My Doctor says the same thing. He says protein shakes are ok in a pinch (other than liquid phase), but most of our protein should come from lean meats. I have a friend who has been cancelling her Dr.appts b/c she knows he gets angry with her for reallying on shakes. Plus she's not losing.
  3. Good luck & Congratulations on the WL!! You Rock!
  4. Congratulations!!!
  5. I couldn't have said it any better than Sandman.
  6. Thanks guys! I've been following this board for 6mths This is the first I've heard of the interval timer. You learn something new every day.

  9. I don't think I'm going to be to concerned about what goal weight I want. I just want a healthy BMI. Good luck!
  10. Congratulations, take care!
  11. I know of people who have lost 100 lbs and have never had a fill. So everyone is different, plus I agree with "just b/c you can, doesn't mean you should".
  12. With my insurance I had to do 6mth PCP diet. I was really bummed about it, but the 6mths went by really fast.Last appt yesterday. I'm now glad it did take that long because I feel I got a really good education on the band. I stalked this board for 6mths and read a few books. I'm now REALLY ready! If you follow this forum you can actual guess who has the info they need & who just jumped in. Good Luck to you!!

  15. WTG!!!!! Can you believe when you pick up your 2yo, that's how much came off your frame?! Must be wonderful..
  16. Glad you're doing better! For future reference Immodium makes a chewable. I keep them in my medicine cabinet as a regular staple. You never know when a pool party is going to start.
  17. Every hurricane season I'm like "please Lord keep us safe", but feel totally guilty about it going somewhere else. I was without electric 5 days with Charlie and it was brutal!!!
  18. I have Aetna. Did 6mth Dr. supervised diet (today last day), Psych Eval, Eating right for life class and everything has been turned over to insurance for approval. Thoughts &prayers welcome!!!
  19. I'm looking forward to being on this journey with you!
  20. Sorry you have to go through this Missy!!!
  21. My daughter is going through IVF (skinny as a rail), but with everything she has to go through with this, I'd want her to go for the baby first. Like READY said, try and stick with a good diet, start using some of the tools like eating smaller bites, chewing more, drinking more water and you'll be all set when the time is right. Whatever you decide, I support you!!!
  22. Can I ask you something marketingdude if it's not to personal???? You joined this forum Sept. 1, 2009, why haven't you been banded yet??? I'd be going crazy if I was watching everyone's success and I wasn't getting any.
  23. Not banded yet. I just finished my 6mth required diet today, so hopefully mid-end Sept.
