  1. True "eating sooner" has nothing to do with type of band.
  2. Well when my Dr asked me which band I wanted and I told him I hadn't a clue. I ask him if there was any difference between them. I quote " LB has a little restriction right away, while Realize takes a few fills to get any restriction". Being I'm working on getting knee replacement, I chose the LB. What can I tell you.
  3. Another great article Jean, thank you! As Mis73 stated, I hope & pray others will read it.
  4. My Dr told me the Lapband has a little restriction from the get go, where you Realize does not.
  5. Congratulations! Now rest!
  6. So true Sojo, so true!
  7. Pasta is a lot like bread. The more you chew it and the mushier it gets, it turns to a dough ball and the ball can get stuck. J/S
  8. I got samples of both Celebrate & Bariatric Advantage. I really liked the Bariatric Mixed berry. I hate chewable Vitamins, but I could tolerate that. My nutritionist gave me samples of different one's. I'm glad she did.
  9. Have you been sticking to your diet, I hope &pray???? LOL
  10. You think that's weird. My sister had a gastric bypass and started craving ashes.Ewww! She was so embarrassed that she wouldn't talk with her Dr about it. We figured her body was missing some mineral. Maybe your body is wanting Vit C. I love orange juice but I can't control myself with it, to the point of getting ulcers. I really miss it.
  11. Ya, be careful a lot of people can't tolerate pasta. How about runny mash potatoes? Doesn't that sound yummy??LOL
  12. Thanks Cooper! I couldn't remember if it was 2 daily or 2 twice daily.
  13. Thanks NW! Boy, both Bariatric & Celebrate have a ton more B-12
  14. Does your mother & Aunt have diabetes??
  15. Good luck to everyone being banded tomorrow!
  16. I worry about this post-op, but my Dr said it wouldn't be a problem. Good to hear Mis73 can do it!!
  17. You look marvelous! Congratulations! When were you banded?
  18. Cooper, You have to take 2 at a time, right?
  19. Hi Nick, 2wks and going to ride huh? IMO, think that's a little to soon. Please check with your surgeon and then let me know. I'll be there soon. Congratulations on being on the other side!
  20. Hey girl, I learn to ride on an 800 Intruder. Then traded up to a Harley 1200 XL Custom Sportster. Anyhoo, I was around your weight & I'd ride people up to 160 on the back with me. No problem. I hope your hubby can trade up at some point, Harley is balanced a lot better than Intruder. Ride girl, ride!!!
  21. I'm sure you didn't mess anything up, but you might want to go back to liquids until everything calms down. Sounds like you caused some swelling. Good Luck!
  22. WOOHOOO!!!!! You're on your way! Congratulations! Learn as much as possible before your big day!
