  1. I just want to be able to walk without excruciating pain, everything else would be icing on the cake.
  2. Can't help you there Dude, being banded Oct 15 myself. I know you've been stalking this forum for years, so you must have a lot more knowledge about the band than most. I've only been stalking 6 mths and have learned so much. My #1 must do is, follow your Drs orders for success, drink your water & exercise . I think the one thing my Dr didn't tell me was about " bandster hell". He led me to believe I would have a pouch that only held 2TBSP of food. Another wise saying " just b/c you can eat something, doesn't mean you should". Well Best Wishes on your journey!
  3. Going to go play with it now, bye : )
  4. Just downloaded. Really cool! Thanks!!
  5. After my daughter had 2 miscarriages She was put on it. Now I have 3 beautiful grandkids 12,8& 4. The 12yo has Cerebral palsy, but nothing to do with progesterone. She was born at 23wks . Her brother & sister, no problems all very smart 8yo is in 2nd grade & reads at 5th grade level. No medical problems. Try not to worry! You're in my T&Ps!
  6. Sorry for laughing! I just couldn't understand why you'd have a stupid Dr do surgery on you. Believe me I 've seen some stupid Drs in my day. Drugs are good, drugs are good just not while txting. Lol Best wishes!
  7. Sorry for laughing! I just couldn't fathom why you would use a Dr who was stupid and believe me, I've seen some stupid Drs. Drugs are good, drugs are good. Just not while txting. Best wishes on your journey!
  8. Another thought, are you drinking with meal? Your surgeon got paid big bucks for your surgery, make him work for it. Hope things straighten out soon. Best of luck!
  9. WTG!!!! Congratulations!
  10. 30grams a meal good carbs, fruit,milk,yogurt,starchy veggies,potatoes
  11. My paper work says 30grams per meal
  12. I have a thin husband who can eat anything and he does. I just choose not to touch anything I know I can't control. Once I make up my mind, I have no problems. I'm also working on emotional eating by working in my yard.
  13. I talked with my PCP and we decided that the odds that I would die from obesity out weighed the risk of a lapband. I choose LB b/c it was less evasive, and I had a sister who had gastric bypass lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of weight back. After studying the lapband, that can also happen if you don't follow your Drs. orders. If I'm going to jump through all the hoops, I'm going to make sure I follow Drs. orders to the T.
  14. Get rid of your scale. Weigh at your Drs. office . Use your clothes as a guide to what you weigh. You are going to drive yourself nuts!!!
  15. Wooohoooo! Congrats! Can't wait to be there with you.
  16. You'll be in our thoughts & prayers also! Can't wait to hear about your success!
  17. More like ROTHFLMAO!!! Sorry if I offend anyone, but this really struck me as funny.
  18. I don't know if I would have a "stupid" Dr. cutting me open. J/S
  19. Welcome! I stalked these boards for months before I finally posted and you're right. There are wonderful people here. My Drs office told me that the most successful people are the one's that have a support group. Thank goodness for LBT!!!
  20. Stay away from the scale for 6 wks, other than post op check up. You're body is healing.
  21. LOL, I'm soaking wet all the time. I get in my car and put a/c on full blast to try and dry myself up before going into store, but hey I live in Florida! The humidity is a killer!
  22. What does your insurance require? Or are you self pay?
  23. Congrats! I just got my date Oct 15 yesterday. It's like you can now sigh in relief!! We don't have to break our necks to get to the phone.lol
