Calorie counting (early stages)
In the beginning just worry about getting your protein in... I never worried about calories... You won't hit anywhere near gaining weight stats calorie wise. 60-90 grams of protein a day!

In laws dinner today
did it make you kind of sad that no one said anything? Or were you just relieved that no one did? In the beginning if no one said anything... I was always like what the heck?? I think I'm just a weirdo

Whats for dinner tonight?
Made buffalo chicken tenders . Found the recipe on the Hurley medical center website when I was googling gastric bypass friendly recipes. Had 34 g of protein per piece and I could eat about 1/4. Easy to make and really good. My focus now has been recipes the whole family can eat. That's pouch friendly

worried about looking like a deflated elephant
You just suck it up... I wear a sports bra all the time now... Even when I sleep. But fitting into size 10 pants is such a rush for this former size 28 gal!!! Things are tightening up with the exercise I am doing but saving my pennies so in 2014 I can have a little work done :-)

Post op and belly fat
Im going to start documenting any rash that I get plus any chafing for the year of 2013 in hopes that insurance will cover a tummy tuck in 2014. I agree with BB that flap just wont go away for me.

return to work
I took 6 weeks only because I had the sick leave accumulated and had fmla... work for the government. But felt crappy until about week 3 and then started feeling better. If you can take 3-4 weeks I would. It will help you get in your daily requirements at home and figure out what you can and cant do without the added stress of work. Just my opinion.

Hait loss
sounds like you are doing everything right. The only thing I added to your list is I use Garnier fall fight shampoo and conditioner. Other then that it sounds like you are getting in your protein and biotin.

Girl, you have had such a rough old time. I am so sorry. I believe you... and I think you should go with your gut. Is going to the emergency room an option?

This is really hard
I like you all have tried fifty jillion ways to lose weight. I have lost a whole bunch of weight on "my own" and gained a bunch back and then some. The way you have to go into this decision is not that it is a magic cure that will make you all of a sudden skinny... It is a tool that has to be used correctly. If you follow you surgeons protocol you will lose weight and keep it off. It does change everything. It is something not to be done lightly. Believe me.. RNY is not for the weak!! There will be stalls... the weight doesnt just fall off... Yes it does come off... but when you can only eat 800 cal a day your mind tells you that you should lose a lot faster then you really do. Some of us cannot eat certain things... some never dump... everyone is different. That is why only YOU can decide if this is right for you. I tell everyone who asks now... if you need to drop a few pounds ... take care of it now before you become like I was and lose all sense of feeling full. Is it life changing... you bet it is!!! I am almost 1 month shy of my year anniversary. I have lost 168 lbs... with 7 pounds to go til my goal weight. Not only has my body gone thru a complete transformation but my mind has too. Like I said... this is not for the WEAK!!! If you choose to go thru with the surgery we will be here to support you. Good luck guys!!!

Five and a half months post op
- Found an easy way
I wish I had the patience to wait for someone to buy my old clothes. After I finally decided I wasnt ever going back and cleaned out my closet.... I just took to goodwill... talk about a feeling of depression looking at my empty closet.- Back to work- WHEN?
Yuck... how hard has that been. I just cant even imagine. I took 6 weeks off because I had the time and was FMLA protected. Glad I did... helped me heal and get all my requirements in. - Found an easy way
