  1. You have come a long way baby. Look back at how far you have come. And stepping out of your comfort zone to even go on a date it quite an accomplishment. Keep up the good work and pretty soon your will be wearing single digits.
  2. You look fantastic. What a beautiful smile you both have. You are doing fantastic.

You made it through the surgery part and all the hoops before. You have to be proud of that. Keep that in mind as you get into small struggles along the way. You are doing very well. I hope in 2 months after my surgery I am doing as well. God bless and count very little progress as a giant hurtle because it has been.
  4. Ereneeth, Your pictures are amazing. You look amazing. Looks as if all your skin in your arms went back. If I lived closer I would have went with Dr Cirangle also. It seems that all the ones that have him finish to goal and look great. And you are definitely one of them.
  5. Best of luck to you and everything will go fine.
  6. Best of luck to you I know everything will come out well. Enjoy your trip also.
  7. It looks to me that you are very dedicated and doing very well. You should be very proud of yourself. To do so well before the surgery and now have the surgery. You are off to a great start. Good luck.
  8. You are doing great. Best of luck.
  9. Oh please tell me that some of the cravings for sugar go away after surgery. I am hoping that I will not crave it so bad after my diabetes is gone Hopefully. Please get back on track. You don't want to be that heavy ever again. I hope I have the strength to do the same after surgery.
  10. I got my surgery date yesterday. It is Nov 28, 2 days after my 66th birthday. I am glad I read your post because I keep thinking I am too old for this. But I guess as long as there is breath in our bodies we have to do something to improve our lives. Thank you again. Best of luck to you.
  11. I got my date yesterday, Nov 28, 2 days after my birthday. I also have 2 close relatives birthdays within this 2 week period. Holiday and birthdays will be a lot different. Good luck.
  12. Just got my date yesterday so I can only imagine how you must feel being so close to surgery. Remember all the posts you have read that said "Wish I had done this sooner". You will be saying this in a couple of months. You will not fail. You will follow what your doctor says. Best of luck to you and keep up posted.
  13. Here it is 3+ months of hoops and finally passed everything. Met with Dr yesterday and got a date of Nov 28. Finally a date but still 2 months off. I still have hoops the way it sounds. I have 2 more appointments before the surgery and I'm sure a physical will be required by my PCP. Will call and find out today. Also found out for all Medicare people out there that they are finally paying for the sleeve. The Dr's insurance admin said they have been paying for about 3 weeks. All I have to say is. Everyone going through all the tests, prods, sticks, pokes it will come to an end ( I was begining to wonder myself). Now I will really need you guys help, this is when it is getting real. Any words of encouragement is appreciated.
  14. Been fat my whole life except for a very few years. Read my last Blog. It has been so long since I was anything close to normal ( never was normal) I don't know what it will feel like. My weight and my age and the pain I am in has made me depressed and a recluse. I find out tomorrow if the doctor will do the surgery and it will go to the insurance for approval. Everyone please say a prayer for me.
  15. We will all be here to help you in any way we can. I also need all the support I can get. Not much in my personal life.

I am also addicted to food. Food when I am happy and food when I am sad. Any kind of emotion I want food. Especially carbs. I quite smoking after 35 about 12 years ago so why can't I quit eating the wrong foods. You licked smoking and drinking, you are very strong also. It is not easy. I hope together with the help of this group and with prayer we can do it. Best of luck to you and keep in touch.

Here it is the end of month 3. Never thought I would make it this far. Next week I see the surgeon for the 3rd time and he will tell me if I have passed all the tests and can get submitted to insurance. I waited till the last week to do the heart doctor who because of my age and not able to exercise very well wanted a stress test. I did it and passed. I am glad they did not find anything wrong with my heart. I went to the psycologist for quite a few visits and I think I had enough of that. She was very nice but I still don't know why I use food as a comfort. I have been to 4 support group meetings, went to lung doctor and he said I had a touch of asema. My PCD went on to greener fields and I had to get a new PCD. That was not easy for me after many years. I guess I like him as well as any. It is hard to find a good doctor that you can get along with. One week in this 3rd month I had 4 doctor appointments in one week. I changed endo doctors also in month 2. I pray that I am making the right decision to have this surgery. I know the life I have now is not good. I want a better life. I want to be able to be off of insulin and putting holes all over my body. I am tired of testing and taking insulin. I blame myself for getting diabetes but they tell me it is not my fault. I have been overweight almost all of my life, even as a child. As soon as I started kindergarden I ballooned up to obese and was that way until the 8th grade when I starved myself for 4 months and lost 40 lbs so I could get a dress for graduation. I wanted so to look like the other girls. I managed to lose another 20 lbs over the next 4 years and stayed there with 10 lbs up or down. Then I got married to someone who was overweight and immediately started to gain. I also got pregnant and gained back the 60 lbs which I never could lose. Over the rest of my life I gained another 70lbs and because of the insulin and the pain I have to keep me seditary it will probably continue to rise. Well this is my weight story. Sorry if I bored you all, but you all mean so much to me. I read every post and blog. I feel your pain and also get joy from your accomplishments. I think we are like a family here. Too all the ones that are doing this at a young age I say GOOD FOR YOU. It is a good idea to get your life back as soon as possible. I have missed so much over all the years because of weight. Best of luck to everyone. I will let you know what the outcome is with the doctor next month. I hope it is good news.
  18. Everyone is here for you. Just a click away. Do as Apatters said, sound like a plan.
  19. You are doing great. Me as a pre-oper would be sooooooooooooo happy to be under 200 lbs. I haven't seen that in over 40 years. And to be able to exercise and even walk a long way would be a great thing for me. You just keep on doing what you are doing and move move move. You will be just fine.
  20. Hi all, I am getting down to the time when I need some answers from all you post-opers. Who out there had any of these painful considtions before surgery? I don't mean the obvious knee pain or back pain from the weight. I mean diabetic nerve pain and just pain everywhere to the extent you could not do many things. I am in a pain scale of 6-8 on a good day every day. I am in a lot of pain and it keeps me from exercising or even walking. Has the surgery helped anyone that has these seriious conditions? I need to know because it is getting time for me to decide go ahead and get the sleeve or forget it. I have diabetes and I also am on insulin and I am hoping that this will do away with the insulin for me also. All my hoops are over and I am down to my last NUT visit. It will be time to turn into insurance and make a surgery date. Really need some advise from all you veteran sleevers. I'm been reading this sight for 3 months now and giving my opinion here and there. This sight is the only one that kept me going. I would have stopped a long time ago. HOPE YOU ALL CAN HELP ME THANKS
  21. I have Ohio bcbs fed and it covers bariatric surgery. Just have to do a 90 day nut. I will have my 90 days in next week and then I will know what happens next.
  22. prayers coming your way as you have asked!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. You still have us here. We care.
  24. You will do just fine. It sounds like you are ready. You will be in my prayers. No need to ever tell anyone if you don't want too. It can be a family secret. Nothing says you have to broadcast it to the world. I am pre=op and a lot older than you and let me tell you we all have all the fears you are having but if you read enough posts here you should see all the people that have so bettered their lives with this surgery. We all have to take it one step at a time. Need to try our very best and use this site as our place to tell our fears, problems, accomplishments to share, and any thing else that comes to mind. Best of luck on your journey.
  25. Best of luck and prayers your way are coming.
