  1. Sorry phone is possessed and posted twice. Oh well if you are as stubborn as me you need to read something twice. LOL
  2. I too have PCOS please don't stress and try to stay off the scale. Especially if it is that time. Remember that part of this surgery is hormonal which has probably thrown your PCOS into overdrive. I am sure the further out you get the more regular you will be. Also remember as you drop weight it can effect cycles so imagine what it does with someone who has cycle issues. Good luck and keep your chin up!

  4. I pureed almost everything. I thought it was a fun stage. Weird I know. I would fix dinner for my husband then puree mine up. Had grilled chicken with light honey mustard, Turkey meat loaf, baked fish with DD Tartar sauce, chili, oh and a baked crab cake with ff Tartar. I used chicken and beef broth to thin as needed. Oh and you can take an egg, put it in a mug with a splash of skim milk. Add a light laughing cow cheese and scramble all together. Microwave 30 seconds stir then repeat until softly scrambled. Because I used a fork to break the eggs up during stirs I didn't have to puree the eggs after they were cooked. You would have to test for yourself. I found this stage a treat. Hope this helps. Let your imagination go wild. Remember it may look weird but surprisingly it has the same taste!
  5. I love the Bariwise products. I too like the wild berry, lemonade, crangrape and pineapple orange. Also from bariatric choice the protidiet fruit drinks are good. Start with the variety pack. If you want something warm the Bariwise hot chocolate with marshmallows is awesome. These products have helped me so much with getting my protein. Good luck!
  6. I drink a lot of the Bariwise and Protidiet drinks. They have the consistency of crystal light and have been a life saver for me. Good luck!
  7. I had my drain in until 10 days post op. I slept in a recliner until I had it removed and stayed on pain meds. Take what you need to keep pain under control because if you are in pain you may not feel like sipping. Hang in there.
  8. Wow that is great. I'm so glad you found relief!
  9. Welcome to the forum. It is filled with awesome supportive people. I'm so sorry for your loss. Best wishes!
  10. I take Ambien as needed without problem. I don't sleep deep enough to get to a restorative sleep so it does help me.
  11. I was sleeved 6/29 and have lost almost 20 lbs. My surgeon told me before surgery that my loss would be slower due to lower bmi. I get a little frustrated but I would whether be slowly going down instead of stuck or up. Good luck!
  12. I know right after surgery, 1st week, clear liquids without worry about protein. 2nd week full liquids including cream soups and protein shakes. Goal was 60 grams that week. I would call your NUT. Good luck!
  13. My surgeon said not to worry about protein when on clear liquids. I didn't have to start keeping track of protein until I went on full liquid, second week. Good Luck
  14. I wasn't able to eat tomato due to acid. I strained my soups and my favorite was cream of potato. My soups had to be low fat. Read your labels because some of the regular cream of soups had the same fat as 98% fat free chicken. So you may have more options than you realize. I tried butternut squash it was pretty good. Good luck!
  15. I took my pills with me to pre op appointment with surgeon and had him tell me if any were a concern. All of mine I was able to take post op without altering them. I left the hospital off my blood pressure meds and my blood pressure is great. Good luck
  16. Thanks for sharing. I am 15 days post op and also experienced pain. I agree you have to be brave and keep reminding yourself you get better fast. I have realized from exploring the forums that each of us handle it different. Some people like me had higher pain but no problems getting fluids and proteins in. Others have little pain but struggle with fluids. I am glad we are open about our experiences because I think it helps each other relate and have support during this journey. Thanks again for sharing! Best wishes
  17. Please be patient with yourself. You just had major surgery. Everyone heals differently. I am 14 days post op and would HIGHLY recommend the products from Bariatric Choice. I use the Bariwise Fruit drinks and Protidiet fruit drinks they have 15 grams of protein per serving. They aren't thick they have the consistency of crystal light. If it wasn't for these I would be in trouble getting protein in. I live in Texas so it is either blazing hot or raining. I just try to walk around the house to get a little exercise. My doctor doesn't release you for the gym until 6 weeks out. I hope this helps and you get to feeling better.
  18. I read a sleeved life on my kindle. It is a short read but written by a sleever. Hang in there and try to picture where you will be in 6 months.
  19. I am so sorry you have had complications but very excited about your weight loss. Keep up the great work.
  20. Sorry phone posted twice
  21. She said she didn't want to overwork my kidneys. I have had good luck with Bariwise and Nectar until today.

  23. Yesterday I went and had drain removed. I was averaging 70 grams of protein and my NUT said to back down to 60. So today they all taste terrible. Guess I will try them again tomorrow. Weird huh? Any suggestions? I'm on full liquid 11 days post op.
  24. OMG you are so funny. Thank God it doesn't hurt to laugh anymore. Yeah the drain sucks. Several times I had to talk myself down from freaking out and ripping it out. Thanks for sharing and the laugh!
