  1. oh my gosh you guys cheese fries -_____- lol I'm from missouri too, and we're kinda crazy about em haha. They are so good! Definitely off the chest and not in the mouth! haha I like that
  2. I have UHC also, and didn't have to do a 6 month program. All three procedures were covered under my policy, so I hope they can do it for you! If not I think appealing it couldn't hurt!
  3. Aww I totally understand what you mean :/ I'm 2 weeks post op and I want "real" food sooooo badly it's killing me. I keep trucking on, but the idea that I won't be able to eat anything good for a while is so frustrating. I hope you feel better!
  4. Loveeee this! I love lisa and she looks just wonderful! Thanks for sharing the link! It's so great to see someone having this in the public eye, and that it's getting positive publicity
  5. I'm sure theres other threads for it, but I figured I might as well put my 2 cents in I was getting so tired of having just plain chocolate Protein shakes hour after hour. I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way, and have tricks and tips to making them more enjoyable! What I did was take a scoop of powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chocolate, 5 oz of skim milk, and about 1-2 tsp of sugar free caramel macchiato coffee mate. And let me tell you it was a delicious blend of chocolate and caramel! So please share your experiences and mixtures! I would appreciate it!
  6. yum! I love black bean soup. I will definitely be trying this one out!
  7. You are sooo not alone in this! I went and saw the amazing spiderman yesterday, and everyoneeee was eating popcorn! I was a movie popcorn junkie, and could literally finish a bag myself. It was really hard, but I tried not to focus on it. lol. It will definitely get better Will just take some time!
  8. Oh my gosh! I though I was a freak haha. The first week I had a food dream nearly every night about something different haha. Then I would wake up and be like why in the world would I do that?! And then realize I actually didn't haha So you are sooo not alone!
  9. Wow that is so awesome! So glad to hear such great progress such good motivation!
  10. Oh man I had the worst dry mouth/thirst ever! It has definitely gotten bettter the last couple days, but when I do feel really thirsty I go straight to the popsicles!
  11. I've only gotten nausea from drinking water too fast and have NOT vomitted yet!! *knock on wood* I don't know how it is for anyone else, but my little pouch hasn't given me any problems like that!
  12. oh wow :/ I didn't have to do any of that, but I'll be praying for you girl! In the end it's going to be sooo worth it! Stay strong!
  13. That's wonderful to hear! I love how people are getting such great results so quickly~
  14. I have been waiting to drive, but I think I'm going to venture out on my own starting tomorrow. I feel like I'm more than capable to drive safely. As for sex I waited 7 days, I just couldn't do any more than that. Just take it easy haha.
  15. This was the same plan as me and I tolerated the puréed black bean Soup and quarter cup of a mashed potato really well! And let me tell u I feel sooo much better now. It really helped calm my head hunger!
  16. Well today I decided to not go to any bbqs or anything. Instead I went to see the movie Ted with my boyfriend and mom haha. I am going to eat some pureed black bean soup, and a quarter cup of mashed up potatoes for dinner, then I'm heading over to a family house for some fireworks (: That way I didn't have to see anyone eating their lovely bbq, and I still got to enjoy the day!
  17. I buy mine directly from their website, it seemed like it was the most reasonable price!
  18. I debated between the two as well, and it's really a personal choice. However, there just seemed like so many more benefits with the sleeve. I've already lost 19 pounds, and I just don't see that happening necessarily with lap band. Not to mention have to get fills scared the crap out of me. lol this is so much less maintenence But you go girl either way!!
  19. sugar free popsicles, sugar free jello, chicken/beef broth, G2, and a protein shake! I would reccomend Unjury chocolate, it tastes similar to chocolate milk I just got off 2 weeks of a liquid diet (pre and post op) and these were my saving grace lol.
  20. So I am 6 days Post-Op, and for the first few days it seemed like a struggle to get down 4oz of fluid an hour. Now I feel like I can sit down and drink that much in one sitting. I'm not sure if this is normal? How much liquid can most people tolerate in time intervals? I also am experiencing water nausea, and my pouch just doesn't agree with me drinking even sips of it.
  21. I'm not sure if it's an all doctor kind of deal, but I'm not allowed to take ibuprofen or any anti-inflamatories at all. They said they could cause ulcers. That just caught my eye! lol I strictly take tylenol.
  22. 19 and 5 days post op But I def commented on another thread you had aha.
