  1. 0Mg it's going sooooo fast!!! Just had all my pre admission testing and met with anestegiologist office:) doing really well, lost a total of 19 lbs since the start of my journey!!! Life IS GOOD!! Aug 15th 2012 !! Here I come!!!
  2. I do hope it's not true. If I conducted my own study, I know 9 people personally who've had the band put in and 1 who had no success, because of her own doing, and had it removed. This is over a 4 year period. So that's a pretty small percent.
  3. Day 1 pre-op done. Sheesh. I'm exhausted...thinking of all the things im supposed to & not supposed to eat. I need a hobby. Lol 13 more to go...luckily my surg says we can Do a 3rd phase Atkins. That's pretty much what I'm doing, Cept adding a few more protein shakes ...
  4. Day one pre-op too!!!! Yikes. ))
  5. As anyone tried the Nike Fuel Bracelet?? I saw a client the other day with one. And it looks so cool, I've seen the Fit bit, but that's needs to be hooked to a computer(if I understand correctly) any input on either anyone:))))))!!!hopr ur having a great day!!!!
  6. Omg. I didn't even think about the small backyard chairs!!! Yay!!!!
  7. I just wanna be able to tuck in my shirt! And not look like a package of hotdogs!! And of course when I hit my goal..I'm buying a sexy nighty for hubby;) It's coming, I can just taste the freedom!!!
  8. My surgeon gave me 3 different options for the 2 weeks. 1. A very high (90-100g) protein which is written up 2. Do the 3rd Phase of Atkins 3. A protein shake meal replacement with very light snacks. Today starts my 2 weeks. I'm doing a mixture of the 3. Because I work nights I will Do a protein shake dinner. Ect. Good luck and find what works for you. I love the idea of making a list of why I'm doing this. I'm doing it right now!! It will defiantly keep me on track!! Ty:)!!
  9. I've told some and some I haven't. I have been vigorously eating healthy and exercising since march and have lost 18 lbs. surgery is August 15. I've had support from some and other give me the "Why? Your not THAT big!" I'm so over people's opinions. That Ive stopped telling people. Its my decision , I've made it, I'll deal with it. It had nothing to do with them. Period. I'm doing this for me, my health and my family. They're all that counts. Once I realized I love myself and the rest will fall in place- I've felt wonderful:))good luck to you.
  10. My surg is aug 15th. Pre addmin testing Friday!! Yikes!!!!
  11. Good luck. I just got my call for Pre addmin testing from hospital. 2 weeks till my surg. I'm freaking out today. Yesterday I was good. It's such a whirlwind of emotion. Best to you!!!!

  14. WTG I just got both my surgical board and my insurance approval this week too:) so excited. My surg is aug 15th. Yikes:)
  15. I rec'd my letter of approval from the hospital board. Wow. What a mixture of emotions! I have 2 weeks left of what was 'normal' for me..& 2 weeks of pre-op..so excited!!! I'm down 15.4lbs since my first Lapband info night. Getting many compliments already! Life is good!!! Anyone else getting banded in August?? I'm the 15th
  16. I take the little Calcium 'candies'. Theyre delish and what doc told me to take. Feels like I'm having 2 candies a day.
  17. Ok. Thanks. My date is aug 15th. (fingers xx'd) lol Good luck.
  18. Just got some bloodwork back and doctor is running more tests but might have a slightly sluggish thyroid. Will that stop me from being banded?? Anyone else have a similar situation??
  19. Just my input, haven't had the surgery yet..but hada big discussion on this at out last pre-op meeting. Fiber is a must.
  20. Wow. My doc too said the same exact thing. I was told I don't have 'a lot' (67lbs) of weight to lose like the majority of his patients (100+) and would I be happy with 40lbs? Well of course my answer was no. I wanna lose the 70. Not 40. But he also said it was up to me, And I can make the Band work for me. He's giving me the tool, and all the directions and info I need. So I'm sticking with the band. The sleeve too, was just too drastic. A little info though, which worked for me - I downloaded the app for the sleeve that's just like this one, and got to see & read everyones first hand experiences and realized it wasn't for me. good luck. My Surg us scheduled for aug 15th.
