  2. Good luck !! Tomorrow is our day:) woohoo!!!!
  3. Good luck guys!!! Last day of work for me!! Surg wends and I'm nervous as hell! Trying to keep it under control. I keep telling myself it's natural...yikes.
  4. I wasn't nervous till I really started to think. About being cut open. Yikes. I'm really excited, but not gonna lie about being nervous. I'm in really good health( beside being overweight) and feeling wonderful after losing 21 preop lbs. I'm nervous, cause I have 3 kids I need to come home too, that need me. But I'm putting all my trust in God. He's yet to interven and make me change my mind. So I'm doing this 100%. My surg is wend. Good luck to you!
  5. Good luck. I'll keep u in my thoughts. My 'band day' is wends. My nerves are getting silly. But I'm so excited too!! Chin up, and don't let them prod u like bull;)
  6. I just want to point out, if you ask a question, your gonna get answers. Some you may like, some you won't. But you asked. That being said...I don't think NC was honestly being rude or nasty. Just giving her opinion, and looking out for the rest of us in the online community. What ever you decided to do about the Alcohol I wish you luck. We're all different and unique individual's. What works for one, may not work for another. I love beer, used to be a big beer drinker. But my surgeon is big on the carbonated beverages not fitting into the Lapband lifestyle, so I've crossed it off my list 5 months ago. I do love me some wine though and I look forward to drinking responsibly in the future, but not a concern anytime soon. Surgery is Aug 15th...happy Bandday to me:) Good luck to you!!!! And have fun regardless!
  7. Dieting & getting healthy, 2 separate things. Change your mind set..it's not 20 lbs, it's a new way of life. :)As for being denied by insurance, personally I had thought the same in the beginning ..but the surgeons say any little bit you can lose helps with their surgery, and anistisia ect. They put all the papers through in the beginning, so i say just go for it. Get healthy, start now!!!- it will only help in the end!! good luck. I week till surg for me!!!!yay!!
  8. Sound like your dpi g fantastic Roja. WTG!!! I'll be on this side in 8 days. Prayers all around:)!!!
  9. I got spam for the first time, some name of Italianguy44. It said "don't have the band surgery. I can help you. " Didn't like that very much. Hope the site increases watch on this stuff.
  10. I remember back in the day when I did Atkins, I had some crazy, scary down right Nasty dreams. And now that I'm on this high protein extreme 2 week pre op. it's happening again!! WTh - anyone else have this crap happen!!??
  11. So sorry, I will pray for you and hope it all works itself out. Get yourself well & think positive. You must have lost a bit of weight on 2 pre op diets...use that as an insertion to keep going. Remember. In this world everyone has a fight theyre fighting, and someone else is always a little worse off. This too shall pass. Good luck!
  12. I agree with Looze. I've been on this program since march, pre op diet day 5. And even the dic said. "if you don't take in enough food, the body goes into survival mode..storing the fat instead of shedding" jus my opinion. Good luck-!!!
  13. Good luck today Roja!! Speedy recovery!!!
  14. Hoping your ok. All the best to u. When was your Surgery? Isn't there a WLs you could find near you? Good luck. Keep us posted.
  15. Thanks guys!! I'm trying this!!!
  16. Did you have prior gassiness? I'm just wondering ? Sorry I know it's kinda personal , but I asked the surgeons office yesterday about my burping. It sea since 5 months ago starting the pre op program I must drink 'wrong'. I burp a lot and haven't even had the band. But they told me I'll be fine. Just wondering how I'm gonna Do- I get banded in 11 days.
  17. Ty:)))!!!! Good luck to u as well!!!
  18. Thanks . & much luck too you guys as well:)))
  19. I'm being banded too on Aug 15th 12', Lost 19lbs. The thought had crossed my own mind too..,if I just keep going like I am maybe I can lose all this weight. But reality sets in. In my 38 years. I've not been able to do it, now is the time. The Lapband is gonna make it all possible. I'm excited. Good luck !!!!
  20. Seminar was required by my insurance, there were over 300 people there. Amazing!!! My surgery is aug 15th. Good luck to you.
  21. Omgoodness!! I am so thrilled I went through a pre-op 3 month program. The people there were so informative. There's sooooooo much to learn about being banded and living with the band! My insurance didn't require any pre-op program, it was the surgeons doing. And the best decision I've made in my life. There was a reason I never succeeded at weight loss or maintaining weight loss, I was uneducated about it all! From food to exercise, I always had an excuse or a 'know it all' attitude. I went into the program with a open mind, and absorbed ever piece of information I could. This band will not only save my life, but my families lives. In 5 months I've lost 19 pre-op lbs. I feel amazing. And without meeting with all the people in the pre-op program, id have make the journey alone, with not nearly enough support. In 12 days I will be banded. Im so excited, and so happy that I have that support, information & knowledge to turn into such a positive in my life. This was my expirence, hope it helps:) & good luck to you!!!!
  22. The More You Love Your Decision, the less you need others To Love Them!!! ...a quote that's gotten me through some rough decisions- hope it helps;)
