Seminar Tommorow

Im a new here and wanted to know if anyone was required to attend a seminar pre consultation. If so what should I expect and does this better your chances of getting approved for the lap band?

I think most people are required to go to a seminar. I know I did. There was maybe 15 ppl at mine and the doctor just talked about the procedure and what it involves.

Most doctors seem to require you attend an orientation prior to being scheduled.

Hello, I am new here as of yesterday too and I went to my first seminar yesterday as well. It was a bit scary at first but today, I feel it's the right step for me. I only have about 50 lbs I would like to lose and I have tried and spent so much money in doing so, that I just feel Lapband is the next step. Good luck and I wish you the best.

Yes I have been banded. Got banded on May 24, 2012

Seminar was required by my insurance, there were over 300 people there. Amazing!!!

My surgery is aug 15th. Good luck to you.
