  1. Got my band 12/21/11. First fill six weeks after I think to like 3cc I'll have to check I didn't paying attention it feels like forever. Then I had another 1/2cc every other month. My first real feeling of the band making me feel less hungry was at 3.5cc. But the 4cc was the real beginning of gradual weight loss. So I'm at 5.75 now. I was 267 size 24. I'm now 178 and some size 12's. I chose to make this weight loss slow, but it's going well with this most recent fill August 2. http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  2. Me!!!! I will always have my coffee and full creamer. That's just the way it is. I'll sacrifice other food and calories for this:) http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  3. Working at a childcare center/preschool, there have been summer stomach bugs all over our county and across the U.S. I get scared too wen my stomach is feeling funny. Hydrate!!!! http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  4. Don't get scared its not as bad ad it sounds. It's your body and stuck doesn't mean your going to choke and turn blue...sorry that's what I honestly thought would happen. It's a feeling that you get and your body takes care of it either up or down and it's not necessarily throwing up. I've had it happen a few times and my lapband, a tool, helps me avoid foods that tend to make me feel stuck. Win a few lose a few it's by trial and error often after fills because we forget those golden rules. I do not regret my band I love it!!!!!! http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  5. Ha thank you for encouragement. My calories are sitting too low. I'm adding Iron liquid, and I am vowing to drink more Water. This dry Colorado and busy day makes me fogey to eat and drink. If this green zone could be a little more accommodating just a little it might be ok, but I am pleased to see some loss cause I was discouraged in my plateau I was going through...puttin on my big girl pants and taking the ride while it lasts. Thx http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  6. Sliming-I didn't know the word til this site. Today I tried to eat a KFC chicken bite. By the second one, I felt this sharp pain in my sternum or in the area. Then I started burping kind of like wen you swallow alot of air. Then my eyes and nose started running. I knew I was stuck with a bite of chicken. It goes up or down. Went in bathroom stood over toilet sorry...and just stood there. Bent over and clear slimy spit just drooled out. Then I just spit up a little stuff not vomiting. So hard to explain but this is about it. Stopped and it did it again. I felt unstuck and I don't like this feeling. There are trigger foods for me that don't go down so well. No bread, some chicken, and certain meats and certain veggies. Sorry for TMI. But you need to know and again I was recently filled more and you just don't always know what will work and what wont. http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  7. Well lucky but not!!!! it is too weird and I am taking my Vitamins but I've added liquid Iron again to get more in I think I went through this on third fill. Don't envy I'm a little scared. I did manage to get 1 oz of the loin in a very tender t-bone in and two bites of baked potato. About hour later I got four bites of ice cream and Kahlua cake. I have to stay up on Protein. It's also that I was such a quantity eater that I'm shocking myself. We will see what next week feels like. http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  8. Oh I hate that easy out word!!!!! Walk in our shoes it's not that easy! It's still hard work, it's giving up some of our favorite foods, it's a different social setting at times. Not the easy way out, and maybe yes it's a way to get healthy so I can live longer with my family...for our health. http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  9. Had a fill August 2. Just not very hungry at all. I'm finding I just can't get enough calories or Protein. I think I'm in green zone and losing...but I don't think I'm eating enough for a 179 pound gal. I got a little light headed. Even my Water consumption is going down. No desire for food. Restricted but not where I'm sliming or anything. So do I do extra high Protein drinks with what food I'm doing? Or any suggestions. Feelin a little tired. Can't complain but I know I need more. http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  10. I've been burping more lately after my last fill. I think I sip too fast and when I eat I swallow air. But with more restriction on band my stomach is probably reacting this way. I just have to remember to slow down and chew well. http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  11. Yay congrats what a wonderful accomplishment!!!!! http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  12. Not sure how to get ticker back in my profile again. http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  13. Trying to get my ticker back on this! http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/
  14. Mine was unfilled at surgery. 6 weeks had first fill. [link=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/w3x7zPz/] [image noborder]http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/w3x7zPz/weight.png[/image] [/link]
  15. I'm 5'5"" and my estimated goal weight from my surgeon for me should be 154 lbs. I wanted 140, he said that's just too small.
  16. Ask your surgeon for Zofran its anti nausea med and can help you during tummy bugs and rare events such as this.
  17. To me the green zone is a period of time in which you are satisfied with your three healthy meals and two small snacks' date=' your Water intake. You are following good rules and you are not hungry in between meals. At the same time you are losing weight steadily without so much hunger. This is the only way I can describe my green zone. It's not necessarily about restriction as it is about satisfaction throughout your day with less calories.
  18. My family...to live healthy for myself with my husband and kids.
  19. I'm so glad that others opt for conservative fills. I have good insurance and that's a blessing. Otherwise I couldn't do this. I definitely can fill this 1/4cc adjustment. Makes a huge difference! I am in green zone!
  20. Might want to really get knowledge from the lapband companies too. Lots of investigating. I follow my doctor advice and try to with nutritionist. But also human in the things I can still enjoy, my coffee and creamer. Ok I know I could go sugar free and fat free on it. Just haven't found the right creamer. No carbonation for me and I do not tolerate bread at all.
  21. Want to add that it's not always going to be weekly losses. You may get out of your green zone and have struggles. That is what we call life:) just listen to your body. At times I hesitated to get my fills ( not always the greatest idea). But overall I'm still doing well with my loss.
  22. To add, I asked for 1/4cc more fill. So I think I'm at 5.75
  23. You know for me, the first two weeks after my most recent fills, it took a second week to feel normal again. I opted for Soups, yogurts, soft mushies even into second week. Which I am in now. Just today I had some deviled ham, slowly. Had hearty lentil Soup from my mom and dad's house...yum! Felt like a great meal going down. So I should be on the road to regular foods.
  24. 1-2 pounds per week is amazing!
