Trouble Sleeping...
I too am a side and stomach sleeper. I have not dared tried laying on my stomach but I can sleep on my non port side ( my right side) if I have a pillow tucked up to me.

When Were You Ready?
last year when I was just so miserable with myself. It was a slow journey but I finally got here. Also, when you wake up from just having knee surgery and your Orthopedic surgeon tells you, you need to loose weight... it hit me hard so that's when I revved up my engine and got things going with the doctor.

I Was Never Told...
I don't think I was ever told how many calories a day I am supposed to be eating. Right now I am eating my 1/2 cup portions and then I move up to a cup per meal... So should I worry about calories right now since I'm eating so little. Or do I need to count them now and stay under a certain number like 600, 800, 500 calories a day?? I guess I should call my doctor to find out or just keep going with the flow!!! HAPPY THURSDAY!!!!

Does This Sound Ok???
I first want to thank everyone for all the support and love you show on here. I was banded 6/28 and I have leaned on this site SO much! I will be starting my puree phase on Thursday and I was wondering if these foods sound ok to eat then: * mashed potatoes, baked potatoes * mashed cooked carrots * tuna fish * chicken salad * Peanut Butter * green Beans I know I am supposed to puree my food but I can't do it, I cannot handle drinking my tuna so if I stick to these foods will I be ok??? or this considered cheating? I don't want to hurt myself, so that is why I am sticking to these soft foods!

To Puree Or Not To Puree?
- To Puree Or Not To Puree?
Hi everyone! I am about to be on this stage in my journey and I'm getting nervous. When you were at this point did you really puree your chicken to eat it? or maybe an orange? I'm so scared it's going to be like baby food ( ok thats pretty much what its going to be) but I don't know if I will be able to eat pureed chicken or ham... What did you eat? How did you get through this stage???- Ice Cream Is The Devil--Whats Your Kryptonite?
SUGAR is my downfall and is what got me overweight in the first place. Someday in moderation I hope to have my beloved chocolate milk again and maybe a Reeses peanut butter cup!!!!!!!!!!- Stuck For The First Time!
Do you try Cereal for breakfast?- Have You Gone Back???
I was wondering if you had visited any old favorite resturants (sit down or fast food) since being banded? I know for some of us that type of food got us to a bad/unhealthy point but now that we know what we can eat and what not to eat we can do it! I love Chickfila and I hope someday I can return and have a wrap or grilled nuggets or my favorite mexican food resturant with my family and have 1 enchilada (granted I can handle tortillas or not :/ ) right now I am mourning food and having BIG TIME withdrawals, this has been the hardest thing I have ever done but I did it for my health and my neice!!!!- I'm Too Picky For Liquids????
All these examples are wonderful and have opened my eyes to a variety of things...- 2 Days Post Op Not Feeling Great

On the liquid stage what exactly would this be???- I'm Too Picky For Liquids????
I am 7 days post-op and hungry. I am on the full liquid stage and its hard because I am so finicky. I have a hard time with textures so whats on the meal plan is not to my liking. for instance: Jello, pudding, cream of wheat, cream of rice.... and I am so sick of carnation instant Breakfast just thinking about it gags me. I have been eating creamy potato Soup ( with no chunks) but even that is getting old and I have 7 more days of this stage. what am I going to do? please help!!!- Can I Cry Now....
Thanks for all the support.. its been a harder day than imagined, but thankfully its almost over LOL. Hopefully by this time next year I will be in a bikini sitting by the pool- Can I Cry Now....
Your right it's only one holiday with many more to come!!!!- Can I Cry Now....
I will be experiencing my first holiday tomorrow. The hardest part is going to be all the food my dad is cooking. I am still on the full liquid stage and even watching my dad get the meat prepared has been so hard. I know I did this for my health and my future but I'm having those thoughts of why did I do this??? Hopefully I can get through it ok and keep my head straight and towards my goal. Happy 4th everyone!!! - To Puree Or Not To Puree?
