I got approved June 7th, went in for testing June 12th, and now I am scheduled for surgery ON JUNE 28th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It feels like this journey has taken forever but really only since March. I am so excited to finally get my life back on the right healthy track. Started my pre-surgery diet today! Any tips on recovery, food to eat/not to eat or just some good ol' advice would be greatly appreciated

Me!!! I just got approved today after waiting a long grueling month. Nurse said I should hopefully get banded the last week of June I'm getting so nervous now but so stinking excited!!!!

I am the same way. I have tried every diet under the sun and only loose a few pounds and gain it back. I have been overweight for a few years now, with it at its highest ever. I have currently gone through the whole process with my doctor and I have heard back from my insurance and all they need is a medical clearance from my PCP. I am doing that Thursday so hopefully after that I will be on the road to surgery. Good luck to you and this journey you are about to take!!!!

I too am new and have enjoyed this site so much. Everyone who posts has had great advice, helpful tips, and put some of my worries to rest. I have gone through all the doctor visits and am awaiting to be approved by insurance. It will be two weeks on Monday and I hope to hear an answer soon.
